I have visited since childhood and must say that Mohonk Mountain House is one of the most picturesque locations in America. Exclusive old world high society, well worth time spent for a romantic getaway or family vacation with timeless charm. This resort abounds with views and attractions unlike any other, gourmet food, top notch accommodations, and all amenities to satisfy the finest taste. A must!

Most rudest place I have ever been, a group of 8, paid $250 x couple and they literally treated us like intruders. Yes the place outside it’s nice to visit but inside the hotel there is nobody friendly.

Everything has been incredible. I almost never want to leave. One of my best experiences. The dining staff are wonderful and the food is incredible! You won't leave hungry - it's impossible!

Thus place takes several hours to go walk around to look at the art structures. You can also rent a bicycle to go around to save time.

If experiencing mountain views and exploring nature in Victorian luxury is of interest, this is the place. All inclusive rate includes three meals a day. Amazing place.

This was my first time visiting. We drove up from pa on Sunday before labor day with a summer day pass to explore this unique hotel and all of its outdoor activities. First let me say what an amazingly beautiful hotel and location. It is so professionally run, friendly with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Upon arrival you are warmly greeted by a friendly caring courtious and professional staff eager to assist. The entire operation is run on very high standards. It was a pleasure to see. Although we were unable to enjoy the day due to a rain out, the management team were extremely helpful and accommodating and resolved our issue quickly and to our complete sastisfaction. I was very pleased and we look forward to visiting and staying at this wonderful hotel very soon. Wonderful operation. Keep up the great work.

Excellent experience. Attentive staff; from the valet, to cleaning staff, restaurant servers and personnel that do tours, bring you cookies on a whim, bar keeps and barbacks all deserve my thanks.

Excellent and perfectly clean amenities.

Plenty to do. Concerts! Tomahawk throwing, horseback riding, spa, pool, beach, hiking, naturalist guided tours, archery, and 4 star food.

Absolutely worth the money, I might make this a yearly event.

Love it. Brought my 13 year old son. I haven't been since I was about his age and it was just a great experience. Rock scramble to the Lemon Squeeze and beautiful views from the top

If you come to the Mohonk for the historical castle-like hotel, the Sky Top Tower and the Mohonk lake, you should drive to the Mohonk Mountain House Gate House directly. You will pay $30 per person per day for hiking fee however that's the only way for you to access to the unique place of the Mohonk Mountain, which distinguishes the Mohonk with other regular hiking areas. It's about 2 mile each way and will take about 4 hours with stops for a round trip. Yes, $30 is not cheap however the hiking trail is well maintained and you will see amazing sceneries and enjoy multiple unusual pavilions built right by the cliffs.

Ranger Mr. Kevin gave us a warm greeting and patiently explained everything we need to know at the beginning of the hiking trip. People working there were professional and polite, and they love what they do.

Just to note that for hikers interested in the mountain house, don't mix the mountain house with Mohonk Preserve. The Mohonk Mountain House resort and the Mohonk Preserve are not associated with each other. With the ticket purchased at the Mohonk Preserve visitor center, you won't be able to access to the mountain top. In addition, any parking lot associated with the Mohonk Preserve is too far from the Mohonk Mountain House. For Mohonk Mountain House and the beautiful mountain top view surround it, put Mohonk Mountain House Gate House on your map.

Beautiful place! I gave it three stars because you have to pay $30 and walk 2.3 miles to even get to the point of where I took the photos. You don’t have access to the Hotel but you can use the amenities. It’s a breathtaking place with unbelievable views. I particularly loved the seating areas throughout the hike. More advance and not exactly a kid friendly hike. Swimming area near by and immaculate gardens. Great for those who love taking photos! (Like myself). The drive is scenic and again, my only drawback is the $30 price to hike! It used to be free.

Beautiful place, comfortable stay and great food. Great if you love to spend time with nature away from hill station madness.

I had high expectations for Mohonk. I must say I am leaving disappointed. That disappointment revolves mostly around the food. It was nothing special and on top of that on all but one occasion the food arrived luke warm at best if not almost cold. I had lobster bisque one afternoon for brunch, it arrived with a film across the top. How long was it sitting in the bowl? They throw it in a microwave to reheat it? We loved the location, but for the prices they charge per night, there needs to be much better food service.
I was going to taste them 3 stars, but after the lunch I just had, down to 2. We waited 15 minutes to get out appetizer and then it was cold. Then we waited another 20 minutes for main course that never came. We finally left.

Amazing place! The history is alive here. Original artifacts and pictures at every turn. The walking trails are peaceful with magnificent views. The deer come right up to you. And the spa is one of the best I've been to. I try to come back once a year.
