Monkey Bar reviews
10I like this spot! They provide splendid dishes, their menu is decent, The chef in that spot is a real pro, I enjoy very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always fresh, the attitude towards the guests is very good too. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. Highly recommended.
Jeff was an A+ bartender and the food was fantastic as was the service and atmosphere. Will return
Consistently great service, drinks and food. I typically get light bites and cocktails whenever I go to the Monkey Bar. I got to try their banana split the last time I was there and it was divine. Hands down the best strawberry ice cream I've had in years.
I suppose I don't understand Manhattan all that much. I prefer negronis when I don't need to take out a mortgage to pay my tab.
Service was impeccable and food was refined and decadent. Cocktails were fancy and handcrafted with a spicy Moscow mule and harvest fizz with fragrant thyme but wine by the glass was not generously poured. The waiter was patient and attentive and our water glasses were never empty. Food came out right on time. All in all, this was a fabulous dining experience that we will eagerly try again.
Love the monkey bars bar side, though getting a drink can be tough. The restaurant is very nice and can seem overwhelming if you are there for the bar. The occasional live music is great.
The place looks fun and interesting but I wasn't there long enough to try the food or actually get to enjoy the murals. They took a reservation for 10pm. They gave us a dinner menu. Then they stated that we needed to get our order in because the kitchen was closing. Wait, but OpenTable and your restaurant allow dinner reservations at 10.when the kitchen is closing. Makes no sense. Our waiter tried to help, but then the hostess came over to argue with my husband. The plan was to enjoy a few drinks, have a starter, then the main course with some sides, and have a nice relaxed atmosphere. With a hurry up attitude from the hostess, there was no way we were going to be allowed a pleasant experience. Needless to say, we left. Rude treatment and a less than relaxed atmosphere; I won't spend my time or money here.
When ever in NYC we always stop in. This place has a fab vibe and is always fun. Great bartenders and staff. Ask for your cocktail to be made your way and they will oblige. Bar menu is a little limited but the food is good. Enjoy.
Old piano bar atmosphere for a high end restaurant.
Very traditional simple fare. Old fashioned fares for an older crowd
