Monogram Medical PC: Lance I Austein MD, FACP, Brooklyn NY

I have been a patient of lance Austeins from several years now and have clearly stated multiple times that I struggle with epilepsy (a seizure disorder). About a week ago I acquired covid. I contacted Lance Austein for assistance and he advised that I take mucinex D to alleviate symptoms. The next morning I had an enormous seizure which has left me hospitalized with two black eyes. The doctors at the hospital informed me that the medication lance austein prescribed me lowered the efficacy of my seizure medication causing this adverse reaction. I contacted Lance Austein to understand why in the world he would prescribe something that would harm me and he said that he never recorded that i was on anticonvulsants or that I had epilepsy. Because of him I am now not functioning. My brain is shutdown and I am aloof with the world around me. If there's anyone I hate most in this world it's him. This was an act of malpractice and he is so lucky that I am not pressing charges. He lost me as a patient and hope that he does not get more after reading this review.

Good doctor. The main reason I went to another doctor because my medicaid mistakenly didnt cover one of my visits to him in fall 2018.

That was my last visit with him.

Was contacted by one of the receptionists whom really had a attitude whom informed me about it.

Though i suspect they made a mistake but werent willing to own up to it or whatever.

So I will be ruling out a return to dr lance austin for years to come.

Dr. Austein is the best. I've been coming to him for over 10 years now and I always feel cared for by him and his whole staff. I have recommended him to family and friends several times. If you are looking for a primary care doctor who listens and cares for his patients, make an appt with Dr. Austein.

The front desk staff is very kind and attentive. Practically no wait time to see a doctor. Doctor is very knowledgeable and understanding. The visit exceeded my expectations.

Everyone is always so pleasant and sweet. I was in and out in less than a hour. I truly enjoy going to the office.

Dr Austein has been my PCP for about 30 years so if he wasn’t GREAT why would I keep coming back! Great diagnostic skills, kind and is non-judgmental. Always keeping up to date with medical procedures and new treatment's.

I have been a patient of Dr. Austein for over 2 years. It took me a long time changing physicians since my last one I used for my children as well as myself for over 23 years. I was unhappy since the office changed as well as my doctors care but was scared not knowing a great doctor. Bottom line, I am so happy with Dr. A and his staff is amazing. Especially Lisa. Try them once and you won’t go anywhere else.

This used to be a great office but now it’s a disaster. If you need medical transportation forms done, don’t bother. They will never get it done. If you want to be able to reach your DR. Forget it! During office hours they don’t bother answering calls. I was w Dr. Austein for several years and he was great at first. There used to be minimal wait times and he was very attentive. I feel that people working for him (reception) are rude and unprofessional (Maria) and capable of zero (don’t remember her name but she has only one crooked tooth), the only one capable of anything is Taylor. But…. She’s not always available. In any case, I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. AUSTEIN for one major reason and that’s he does not care anymore. He goes through the motions but cares nothing and you feel that.

Doctor Lance Austein is an excellent doctor. He is the primary care physician for the whole family for the past 10 years & we are very happy under his care. He is very knowledgeable in his field & provides referrals to specialist when necessary. I would recommend Dr. Lance Austein to anyone looking for a good family doctor.
