I have gone to this business for years. They are always quick, courteous, and I have never found them to be untruthful. I highly recommend them.

Used to do quality work but the former manager retired. New manager is friendly but this is the second time I 've been here for the same problem.

My grandfather and father were both professional mechanics. I was also trained as an auto service technician as a young man. I learned a lot from my father and my dad has set a benchmark for what I expect from service Techs. I like and appreciate the people at the Fairmount service center. They display the knowledge and honesty that I have come to expect from people I do business with. I trust them to do the work I need and at a fair price. I highly recommend the Munro Fairmount service center.

I have been to their store on Feb 29th and did my annual inspection and oil change. Jim said its all good and you can leave. After looking the inspection paper I see a "bad" written under one of the parts and asked for more details on what is going on with the part. He checked with the worker and worker looked so confusing to me, took pause and said all is good on the car and just ignore the wording there
and you are good to go! I asked Jim and worker directly again to make sure and they said all is good. I thought they are legit and left the place.by the way, I get oil change from them usually.
But, now comes the real part, just after 10 days I have been listening to the sound coming from my car front wheel and I thought since its all recently checked everything should be perfect. I had already scheduled an appointment with good year for my winter tire change and went to them around 13 days after the inspection by Monroe Muffler camillus. At good year auburn, I asked them if they can see what is going and why I hear sound. I want to be careful, and like many I am novice to car repairs and try to be careful before things go bad.we all seek help from professionals and pay them premium for car repairs. Good year told me that the breaks are completely worn out.calipers and rotors are metal on metal. Good year told me that I have to replace the rotors, breaks and added may be calipers too, but we got to check. I was not trusting good-year because Monroe muffler said everything was perfect with my car just 13 days back. I still have the paper that dates Feb 29th and says
"FRONT Left and Right Breaks are good", REMEMBER they checked the Front 2 sides of the car, at least paper says that. Also remember that I asked Jim myself on the car status after inspection to make sure all is good before I leave. I doubted the good year and didn't want to believe them immediately, however as a benefit of doubt I went to Dunn free check. Dunn guys showed me that breaks are completely gone and rotor on caliper situation.by now I know what is going on and have seen my self at DUNN. Now, how could breaks worn out from "good" to "not any more on the car" in few days? Which means they were bad when I took to Monroe and they never checked during inspection but checked breaks are good on the paper. Jim says all is good and in few days things go wrong with the same part they tested? Its a metal break it cant worn out from good to none in few days if it was in good condition on Feb 29th. I called Monroe Muffler and told the issue, they say that law does not mandate them to check all breaks and they can just check one side of the car and say its good enough.but in my case they checked the front breaks and ticked them as good on the paper too.and the issue is with my front breaks.they are fishy! I have the proof with dates on papers, from all companies I took it to for the checkup and took pictures as well.
Because of the misinformation they gave me, I have to buy rotors, calipers and breaks which leads to a $700 bill.what is the point in paying lots of money to professionals when they falsify and fool the novice customers? If they were honest and really checked the breaks, I would have known of break issue on Feb-29th and it would have been just 100 - 150$ breaks replacement. This is bad, really really bad what they have done. I will take this very seriously because of their practices I am losing money and most importantly they passed my car saying breaks are good, but the truth is breaks worn out to a situation of falling off in a week! Now the question is how many cars are getting annual inspection as good, where truth is their car might fail when its in real need while risking peoples life. I think NY DMV should look into this. I will take this to NY state DMV, if they dont own the mistake and take responsibility to fix my car. But putting here now to let people know be careful and cautious. Make sure you are safe and told truth

I came in and was having a rough day already. Long story short the gentleman at the desk made sure to make my transaction as easy and quick. Honestly I was so thankful for his help. They were prompt and very helpful. I will be returning for sure.

Went for a scheduled oil change. Was in and out pretty fast. Very nice gentleman at the desk. Great prices.

The guy checking me in was completely bored with what he was doing!

They never filled up my windshield washer container.

When they checked my Tire Pressure. They never tightened the tire caps. All 4 were ready to fall off!

Who knows what they were using to remove my oil filter underneath my car it sounded like a jack hammer.

The fact is such that whoever is writing favourably about this place has no smallest idea of what they do (IDIOTS). Just because the place fixed your car quick doesn't mean the car is fixed well or reliably.it doesn't mean that they didn't take you for a ride, as well (idiots). Comparing $2000 they wanted me to pay for repair and parts, where parts cost for this repair was $200, guess who is taken for a ride.everyone are taken for a ride you just are not aware of the sht you are being fed by a slick.everyone would be nice and cool for $1800 profit even with the overhead they have.start asking questions and start looking for other soutions, dont be a victom of greedy business.a wise man said lately "all civilizations end because of something, but our, will die because of greed. "

I have been bringing my cars here for over 15 years. Terry is so fantastic on the phone explaining everything in terms I understand. Their repair work has always been thorough and reasonably priced. I'll always bring my vehicles here for my routine work.

Made an appointment, received the verification email. But when I showed up they told me theres no way they could see me today. They rescheduled it for another day without my knowledge.

I brought my Jeep in for a loud muffler Robert and jade took a look at it which only took a few minutes. It was not going to be cheap to fix both sides. I was very worried of the cost but Robert and jade truly helped me out and the cost they offered was very reasonable. They are so nice and professional at the same time. The work is outstanding. I will definitely bring my Jeep back and will absolutely recommend them and this shop to everyone I know!
