I finally rode through the refuge to see the eagle. We saw plenty of different birds including a bald eagle perched high. It's absolutely beautiful.

Nice nature preserve to drive through. You consistently will see ducks, geese & cranes and other birds. Always lots of butterflies flying around aswell. Sometimes you can see bald eagles if you knew where to look and they nest in the preserve. Definitely recommend taking a drive or walk around. No hunting or fishing is aloud it is a preserve.

Peaceful and quiet place for bird watching, but during the summer you definitely need mosquito spray before getting out of your car
