Mount Sinai Doctors - Five Towns, Hewlett NY

Rudest most inept front desk staff. Seems doctors wont use portal to respond to messages. Entries made by others usually incorrect. Never answer phones and even when they call you back they put you on hold again. The only professional pleasant helpful person is the thin phlebotomist in the lab.

They will be closed today but no notice on web site or when you call. Not nice to do this to your patients.

Can’t get a hold of the office, only a call center. When I try to speak to my doctor, I am told I have to message her through their website and it’s been a month with no response being able to get a hold of my physician should not be this difficult.super disappointed, and will be looking for another doctor

They are the worse I have seen. You can never get an appointment with them. Every time you want to see a doctor, they give you appointment 6 months after. Staff members are rude when you call to make an appointment.

I’ve been a patient here for many years. Each and every interaction that I have with the nurse in the Lab area has been combative. Not a single time was it a good experience.

We’ve been calling since 9am, Saturday the website says open 9-1 but no one answers and confused about what time they actually do open on saturdays.

If I could give zero stars I would. When you call no one ever answers the phone. You always get the message about high call volume. Recently, I was holding for over 40 minutes. I than drove there and the two women at the desk were not even on the phone. The office staff is lazy, unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. If you are sick you are waiting weeks to be seen. The woman that draws blood is mad at the world. They want you to use the portal for everything, yet they don't respond through the portal.
My experience there is always frustration.

Problem is with this dysfunctional office not the Doctor. They never pick up the phone and the worst part is they never fax over documentation for referrals to other doctors as well as prescriptions are not sent to pharmacies and to top it off won’t direct you where to get blood work or flu shot after blood work. It’s like go figure it out for yourself. If my trusted physician was not part of this group I would not enter this facility

I had a really excellent Dr there. However when Mt. Sinai took over, things began to change. In the last seven or so years, you couldn't get appointments, their staff at some points were either misinformed or made decisions on what a doctor should call, not a front desk receptionist; the one time I had a true health concern, the doctor didn't call me back for 5 days. They don't call with results and the last straw was when they charged me to speak to the Dr when I wanted to go over my blood results on my own. I'm a pretty easy patient, don't ask much.just a little courtesy and thoroughness. It's truly a shame because management ruined that practice.
