Mount Vernon City Hall, Mt Vernon NY

As Owner of The City Of Mount Vernon I'm hoping to get some assistance with alot of CHANGES that WILL be made. The employees of my city disappoint me so much I'm embarrassed. Its time for me to refresh my hometown.

Very rude staff, chief of staff, “chief reed” should step down, she’s rude and condescending. Very unprofessional. The staff act like it’s their building and don’t respect the public. You don’t need to provide ur details to get a pubic information record. Rude chief of staff especially.

All City Employees need educated on the U. S. Constitution and the Rights of the Citizens! Absolutely disgusting conduct from City Hall employees! Pathedic! YouTube Search. "CIty of Mt. Vernon! Corrupt"

I went to Vital Records today to purchase a birth certificate. Ms. Thomas was Friendly and quick.

The ladies in the finance department are excellent with regards to collecting money for property taxes. However, with regards to collecting the transfer taxes and providing a receipt for payment is extremely difficult and there's no one to speak with that can expedite this process. Westchester County has three cities that collect a transfer tax Mount Vernon is the worst at providing a paid receipt in a timely fashion.

Parking garage needs work. Roads are bad need repair. Stairs are closed off. Not a great experience.

My experience @Mount Vernon City Hall was as expected. I went to this location for early voting. Of course I as well as everyone else had to wait in long lines to vote. Everyone was very courteous, friendly and understanding. We were offered refreshments multiple times, continuously. Under the circumstances my experience was good. The weather could have cooperated a little more, but that's mother nature. I completed my task and that was to vote, so for that I am pleased.

Very courteous, helpful people at main entrance. Beautiful building and extremely helpful inside offices as well.

There is meter parking in rear of building but must navigate one way streets to get there. Otherwise, garage across from main entrance. Close to hospital.

Everyone in clerk's office was very friendly. My fiance and I were in and out within 20 mins; marriage license in hand. Just make sure you have all your documents. Appointments only. Quick and efficient.

I was disappointed in this peace rally I believe it was more of a political event than a protest for social injustices.
