Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers, Penfield NY

Idk what kind of scam you guys are running over there, but your so called mechanic tried to charge me 130$ for a brake light that requires 2 screws and 5 mins worth of work. I won’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I can only imagine what they’re doing to senior citizens. Then when I denied service, it takes him 20 mins to back my truck out. Last time I’ll bring my truck to Mr tire.

I made a same-day appointment just to get my tire pressure checked and purchase new wiper blades if they had them in stock (they did!), but I wasn't entirely sure they'd be able to fit me in due to the last-minute scheduling. Not only did they fit me in, but Adam and Marissa were both extremely accommodating, and Marissa went above and beyond freezing her fingers to replace my blades for me! I have gone to the Panorama Trail location for years, and am so delighted to now have Marissa and Adam working alongside Dan to make an amazing, reliable crew!

They do this everyday and act like they cant tell how much basic service stuff is going to cost unless they open up things. They would make you drop your car n after that only they would give you a price. I figured their prices are even higher than OEMs. Better to go to your car companys workshop or better do it yourself. In my case, they didn’t give me rate for just changing the brakes. They wont tell how much time they would take for the job either. Any 5 year old can tell after watching a youtube video that it wont take more than 15 minutes with all tools on hand. This clearly shows their intention that they would probably charge labor for 2 hours or more which is very dishonest.

I called this location at 530p on Friday night after I called 4 other places and couldn’t get in. So glad the others couldn’t get me in. The service at Penfield Panorama Trail is outstanding! A shout out to Marissa and Adam. I opted for a new set of tires after I thoroughly discussed my situation with Store Manager Marissa and after the good advice she gave.

They were closing at 7p. I arrived at 6p. By 630p Adam had completed the courtesy inspection on my vehicle. Adam and Marissa completed the tire installation in 30 minutes! I got a great deal and I am very satisfied with their service. Quite a team here!

I rarely write a review but the people at Mr. Tire are amazing! This is my first winter in the snow and needed appropriate tires. They took the time to explain differences, pricing (no hidden fees), and answered ALL of my questions. Over the phone or in person everyone was professional, polite, and they completed the job early! I will continue to bring our cars here. I would highly recommend them!

Went in a couple weeks ago - Dan at Mr. Tire had great transparency in his communication and went above and beyond in diagnosing my car's issues. There were a couple problems that couldn't be fixed at Mr. Tire as the problems either required a visit to the dealership or a visit to a previous auto shop in town that put the wrong parts on my car! He even called the other Mr. Tires in the area to see if it was them who installed the wrong sway bar/links (it turned out to be Mavis Discount Tire) but I appreciated the effort for trying to help me. I'm not car savvy so I appreciate the time Dan took to explain the issues - very professional and knowledgeable.

I showed up today for the second week in a row for a scheduled appointment, just to be told they didn’t have time to perform my service if I was waiting for it. I understood when this happened last week, as I had made the appointment online the night before. However, the service rep last week made today’s appointment for me and assured me they could get my service done while I wait today. I was told today that they called and left me a voicemail this morning, but I didn’t get one (no such call was made last week). I live 20 minutes away, so having to drive a 40 mile round trip and take time away from work for nothing is frustrating, not to mention the delay in getting my service done. I’m not sure what the point of making an appointment is. I understand being busy and understaffed, but I shouldn’t have been assured last week that my service would definitely be done today. I will be going somewhere more reliable in the future.

All the staff my boyfriend and I talked to were really nice and helpful. They actually cared, did a great job, went above and beyond, and explained the whole process. They didn’t try to over sell me. I came for an oil change it was only $40 which is super cheap. Plus they rotated and put air in my tires. They are very understaffed at the location I went to in East Rochester. The online system is not accurate. I felt bad for the workers because so many people walk in (including me) thinking their online appointment is confirmed, but the system automatically does that. Not the actual workers. This should be fixed because the workers shouldn’t have to deal with angry customers on top of being way understaffed when it’s not even their fault. All the staff explained this and were super accommodating and just were great employees/workers. All the staff at this location deserve a raise. Will definitely be back for some tires soon. Hope the online system gets fixed.

I went down there this morning because I had a flat tire. They got me in immediately and worked on my car for a bit. They didn't even charge me because apperantly it was a minor fix. They could've definitely charged me something just for labor alone and they didn't. I will definitely be back for all my service needs. Very nice, honest people!

I left this shop speechless because of their level of professionalism, skills, exceptional customer service, and for making me feel like the world revolved around me and my car!

I called Brian to ask him if he had a tire for my car. I was frustrated because Mavis Discount Tire tried to fix my tire 3 times, but said that I needed a new one after days of me waiting to get my tire fixed. Brian sensed my frustration on the phone, and said that he didn't have the tire I needed in the shop but asked me to bring him the tire that Mavis couldn't fix. I had some doubts, but I took it to Brian. He took one look at it and said you don't need a new tire, I'll get this one fixed for you no problem! This is the same tire that Mavis Discount Tire told me there is no way to fix it. Brian surely delivered! This was several weeks ago, and the tire is still running like a champ! I was truly impressed by Brian's professionalism and experience. He knew exactly what to do. The shocking part, Brian shared my frustration about Mavis having my tire for days and at the end not being able to fix it, so he didn't even charge me for fixing my tire or mounting it on the car! I then learned that this location does inspections too, so I was trying to find a time that would work for me and my family to bring the car back for inspection, but I couldn't find a good time in the near future to bring my car back, Brian walked out from the back and said, we already did your inspection so you don't have to come back! There was someone else at this location helping Brian, he too was professional and helpful and put the tire back on my car, I will edit his name in once I find out what it because he too had a high level of professionalism that we don't see these days.

In Summary, this location will do anything in their power to put a smile on your face and make things work for you one way or another. They truly go above and beyond. I have seen good customer service, but these guys are just exceptional. I think you have to go there to know what I'm talking about. Trust me, if you live in the Rochester area and need inspection or any tire work, this is the place to go to. They will make you feel like the world revolves around you and your car. My NYS inspection was due and where I've always had my work done including inspections was no longer doing them.

I made many phone calls only to be told.no, no longer doing inspections.

I booked an appointment for an inspection with Mr Tire, got a prompt friendly and professional call back from Brian. Took the truck in this morning, talked to Brian, he called when it was done and we spoke again.

I can get my oil changed anywhere, and tires anywhere, brakes etc. I'll be getting it done at this shop. Thanks Brian!

Dan and his team at Mr Tire in Panorama were extremely helpful with a dented steel rim and gave me real life advice on how to handle this situation. They are my tire shop for life.)

Great service, the manager does really well to get you in and out really fast. I got two new tires and was in and out in about 20 minutes. The guys are awesome.

WORST PLACE FOR AUTO SERVICE - incapable of keeping appointments- incompetent workers - unable to do state inspections, wheel alignment, business, etc. I made an appointment online a week in advance for Tuesday at 5 pm as store “closes” at 7. I arrived 10 minutes before 5 and staff reported not having my appointment and the “guy” who does inspections is leaving at 5, also the “guy” who does wheel alignment is not here, so nothing can be done. Meanwhile there were 3 “guys” still in the shop. Unskillful workers blame store for being short staffed instead of actually doing their job. DO NOT RECOMMEND. AVOID AT ALL COST.
