Had a lovely meal here last night. Excellent food and really attentive service. They took amazing care of us given that we had our baby - the manager brought him over a small bowl of rice which he loved. Our new local Indian spot.

This place is soooo good, I’m extremely picky when it comes to Indian food, spoiled by home cooked Indian and haven’t really found a place in San Diego or Vegas that I truly enjoyed, I’m so wishing I could take this little establishment (opened a couple months before the pandemic) and bring it home with me. Definitely got to try this place! Thank you for cooking so well.

We visited the restaurant beside the one world tower and the food was excellent! So good that we had to revisit this restaurant on 55th. We had our two children with us visiting from Ireland and they absolutely loved it!

Very rushed service, small portions, mediocre food. Waiters removing plates even before anyone is done.

I wish I can give zero stars, the service is pretty bad. We waited 45 minutes with hungry kids and they simply gave our table to someone who walked in front of us when we felt bad and leaving they just didn’t even care

Great dining for Indian cusine with a modest budget (by Midtown standards) in Midtown/Columbus Circle.

Dinner for two with two entrees, naan, chutneys, and non alcoholic drinks came to ~$50 post tax and pre tip.

The atmosphere was enjoyable, at one point Turkish/Persian/etc.music was playing. Being in midtown, the tables are relatively close together (not in physically-tense sense, more so that an odd loud table nearby can create slight occassional crossover noise for your table). Keep this factor in mind, if you're looking for a candlit dinner, prime time dining hours might be more lively.

We went on a Thursday, it was more lively after 8.

The service was excellent. The staff was very mindful. This created the breathing space that many restaurants no longer offer (ie-rushing patrons to fill tables up again). We were able to enjoy our time in full.

Before, I convinced myself to enjoy Indian cusine only in Jackson Heights and sparse areas in outer borough neighborhoods such as Flushing, Jamaica, Canarsie, Woodlawn, etc (I have yet to cherish New Jersey/Jersey City's vibrant Indian culture). As my dining companion was not up for the trek, we came across this pleasant surprise.

Overall great choice.

I'll dine here again when:

1) I want Indian food.

AND

2) I'm south of the Museum of Natural History and north of Penn Station (lower/mid UWS-Garment District).

Most Horrible food experience. Shall not recommend. Unwelcoming staff, half cooked food. Pathetic customer service. Deserves zero star.

This place is fantastic, the ambience was very welcoming I can only recommend. We (4 adults, 3 children) were lovingly welcomed. They provided sheets of paper for the kids to draw on. The service was excellent, courteous and assisted us with our food choices and we did not regret any choice. The food was exceptionally delicious and we will definitely eat there again.

Small but great place. Food is good. Chicken is tender and service is not bad either. It’s a little $$ if you are comparing with street food but good place to quickly grab dinner with delicious spices

Ordered 1) kachori chaat 2) methi malai mutter 3) paneer bhurji and garlic naan.

Overall good food - the kachori chaat needed some improvement - the kachori was just plain dough - no flavor and chole were cold.

Paneer bhurji was good. However Methi malai mutter was no where closer - it was just mutter sabji (no methi flavor).

Super enjoyed the food here. The Ginger Chicken Kabob is a must try! The Tandoori Salmon was wonderful, I'll have to order it again next time. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Very happy to have found this place.

We were in town to see a show and stopped by Mughlai's for a pre-show lunch. The food was really good and the owner and staff were friendly and attentive.

We were in NYC to drop my son off at school and found Mughlai because the initial restaurant we were at had an extremely long wait. I called Mughlai to see if there was any open tables and the owner said they were full but she would work our party of 3 in. When we arrived they were completely full but like she said, she would work us in and she did just that even offered us drinks while we wait for a table. My sister and myself ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and my son ordered the curry chicken. Oh my heavens what a treat! We cleaned our plates! When you step into this place the aromas and the fragrance of spices hits you just right and you know you're in for a treat! I'm so glad we found Mughlai! From the owner, to the staff, we felt very welcomed, and the food was superb! The entire experience was great! This will be our spot whenever we're in the city!
