Munson Self-Storage, Almond NY

This place is great, small and large units available. The owner is very friendly and willing to help out.
I found the prices to be very competitive.

Munsons was affordable and close and had so many positive reviews, so I immediately signed a contract and waited out the snow storms and began moving out of my old unit 2hrs away. I had to make 3 trips back and forth, but 2 weeks later I was breathing a sigh of relief, that I finally found something a tad bit cheaper so I wouldn't struggle as much covering my rent.

Not even a month later, Munsons sent a letter raising their prices.
They did not say that it was due to inflation or because of their costs were higher, no. They said because they wanted to stay "competitive. " Pretty much, they want more money and this is the best time to take advantage of the money grab that everyone is going for right now on the poor. They might think it's not much for each individual customer, but that adds up for those of us struggling to afford food and housing. Especially when you have no where else to put your things.

I am trying to stay positive because I had just enough to store my things and didn't have to throw away my stuff, but unfortunately I cannot afford random price hikes and I will once again be moving storage units once I am able to find something else. Just a disappointing waste of time.
