Murray's Cheese Bar reviews
10Awesome place, great food with a menu that was recently expanded and improved, and lovely staff that take good care of you.
The staff are really nice, the food great and the environment is lovely. It's a relaxing atmosphere for a date night for sure:). My husband and I loved the place.
Oh finally, the first step of LIC to become a real residential area for non asian people too. Let’s be inclusive folks!
Well, tbh, their aged gouda (Roomano) is the best. You should definitely try that. Please do me a favor and get a block of it. Thank you.
I’ve been to this location several times now and unfortunately poor service is the rule, not the exception. The staff training just isn’t up to par with the grand central location. Whomever is at the deli slicer is uniformly slow. They place each piece of cut meat on the parchment like they’re works of art, a half pound of Prosciutto can take about ten minutes this way.
Also, if you were expecting anyone to know anything about cheese or charcuterie forget about it. Not that they could really offer samples or give you small. 25 lb pieces to try. All the cheese is pre-wrapped in huge slabs and the selection isn’t great compared to the other store.
You’re much better off hopping on the 7 at Queensboro and going to GCT rather then coming here, they’re really that slow.
I used to live in Jackson Park which is right above where Murray’s Cheese is located. After two years of waiting for the opening, I finally got to try it recently.
Due to covid, I ordered takeout and tried the grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, seasonal salad and burrata. I made sure to eat a lactaid before digging into all the cheesy goodness. This location is also connected to a store so we bought some pimiento cheese and baguette to complement our order.
If I’m ever in the mood for cheese this is my go to spot, it was worth the wait!
I generally love everything about Murray's, and was thrilled to see them open up in Long Island City. The grilled cheese sandwiches are, of course, fantastic. But.
All it takes is one person to not wear a mask properly to make you question whether this place can be trusted. Tonight, I had to ask someone MAKING FOOD to cover their nose. A year into the COVID pandemic and you're not trained yet? My dog did better!
Why aren't fellow employees monitoring each other? This one scofflaw diminishes the reputation of everyone who works there as well as the whole Murray's business.
We came to the new LIC location. The place is nice and friendly. We stayed for lunch. The food was good except one sandwich with mazarella and persimmon. It was cold and plain. The cheese selection is small and overpriced.
No poor people with cash welcome. I was so hungry and had the 3 dollars in cash for some bread which was 2.99. They said they don't take cash. I got the message.poor people like me are not welcome.
All your cheeses needs in one place. The grilled cheese melt was perfect comfort food and everything it should be - good bread properly toasted filled with a more than decent amount of cheese. Not a slice of American cheese in sight!
This was a wonderful choice for a birthday dinner spent with someone very special to me. My birthday dinner was great, tasty and fun. It's nice and cozy and right near the train station. Would definitely go again
