Park Muscoot Farm reviews
12 A really nice farm with lots of animals and a pollinator garden.
They have picnic tables and sometimes have food onsite too.
There is also hiking nearby.
Hiking trail (yellow and red loop) :
A mix of open field with easy wide path (following tire tracks) and easy-moderate forest path with narrow paths and roots and rocks and more inclines. Saw a few families with younger kids on the open field paths but the forest path is very lightly trafficked.
Saw a couple chipmunks but not much other wildlife. Not many mosquitos/biting bugs either.
Gate for the parking lot closes at 4pm so be sure to start early.
I am not sure what happens here on a typical day but when we came last weekend there was a lot going on. We were specifically coming for the pumpkin patch but there was live music, a small farmers market and hayrides. It was very busy but given that it's a large property, it didn't feel too crowded. It was also fun to see all of the farm animals - horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, cows, etc. We had a great day, no complaints!
Nice place to get out to. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy a packed lunch. Great place to take kids without them getting overwhelmed.
Brought my daughter here for her first farm experience and it was very sad. You cannot pet any animals. There was a horse stable with no horses. And just the grounds itself were very sad. No stand to purchase a sweet treat or even a water. Hopefully we’ll have a better experience elsewhere.
We went for holiday lights and there were barely any. We infact passed a lot more houses with more lights and Christmas decorations than the farm itself. There were hardly 5 vendors for the Christmas market.
Fun, lots of geocaches, doesn't allow dogs. Lots of farm animals and trails to explore.
Excellent place to take your kids & family! They have many animals including Horses, donkeys, cows, bulls, pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, hens, roosters & all. Authentic old farm materials are there for people to see.
An absolute MUST VISIT for anyone who Ives within 100 miles, especially if you have young children. The HOG alone is worth the trip.
Perfect place to bring a curious grandchild! Wonderful farm with all the animals a child wants to see including enormous cows, pigs, cute goats chickens roosters and horses! We loved having lunch there outside as well! A real gem in our area!
It’s a Westchester Parks park so it is pretty well maintained.
There are animals (no feeding or petting), a museum and a short circuit trail toddlers and school age kids can walk. It’s the perfect loop to maintain focus for them but not have to drag them along.
Very clean a neat. Workers do a great job and they were working hard during our visit. The animals all were happy in their environments.
Been coming to Muscoot since our children were small many years ago.still a wonderful place for children young and old to experience the magic of nature.
