Namhi Lee MD, New York NY

Dr. Namhi Lee is an excellent doctor. She is one of the finest doctors who has treated me. Dr. Lee truly cares for her patients. My aches, pain and other conditions have completely healed since being treated by Dr. Lee. I highly recommend Dr. Namhi Lee to other patients.

My father suffers from diabetes. When he ran out of his medication and contacted the doctor to obtain a refill, she refused to refill the medication (as well as to see my father) because his insurance has not yet paid her - and the office was still waiting on reimbursement from the last visit. Because of this delay on the insurance side, his AIC levels shot up and threatened his life. This doctor does NOT care about patients. She cares about reimbursements from insurance companies. This is an extremely shady practice - DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR! We are talking about lives here. Just because an insurance company is running slow on reimbursement does not mean you can endanger someone's life!

Dr. Nahmi Lee provides high quality care with her winning combination of knowledge, patience and kindness. She goes above and beyond, responding right away every time I contact her with a question or concern - providing same-day appointments to address my issues with the option of telemedicine or in-person. She patiently answers my questions and addresses my concerns without fail - never rushing me. I highly recommend Dr. Lee.

Dr. LEE IS A BLESSING! She listened and took time to understand my concerns. She gave me advice about how to take care of my health. Very professional and knowledgeable about acupunture and health issues. I go once per week to get acupunture treatments. I can feel my health improves as soon as I walk out of her office. Highly recommended

Dr. Nahmi Lee is probably the most competent, and the most capable Doctor i have ever encountered. Wherein most Doctors i have come across have been totally re-active. Dr. Lee's pro-active approach is quite a refreshing change from the status quo. Her ability to size up a patient, get them well, and help navigate them through life's arduous journey is quite remarkable. I highly recommend her.

This doctor was not a mean individual but criticized me for being trans with blatantly rude comments.not a bad doctor but if you are part of the lgbtq i would probably avoid.

I've know Dr. Lee for 12 years. She graduated from a top medical school and has been a doctor for over 20 years. I don't understand why people are leaving negative reviews saying that she is too spiritual. There shouldn't be any hateful talk. She is an excellent doctor.

Awesome doctor. I switched to her about six months ago because my previous doctor wasn't paying me any attention when I continued to tell him I wasn't feeling well. All he did was shrug his shoulders and tell me to lose weight. Then one of the care managers at the clinic asked me how was my cholesterol and was I taking my medication for it. I didn't even know my cholesterol was high. So, I left and found Dr. Lee. When I went to Dr. Lee she did a full blood work on me and it turn out I have had a myriad of problems that she since helped me clear up and I am back to being healthy again. I love Dr. Lee and I will go back to her over and over.

She made claims that Covid was made by Dr. Fauci, Fauci owns Moderna and the Wuhan Lab that “made covid”, she doesn’t believe in the vaccine, and preached to me about joining her church and going to church would make me look younger and healthier. I have called my insurance company and filed a formal complaint so maybe she won’t be assigned to people like she was to me. She also felt the need to talk to me about her dating life.
Pretty sure there has to be some rule where you can’t talk about your own politics and beliefs like that as a doctor.

My daughter and I had a back to back appointment with Dr. Lee. She wanted to double up and see both of us at the same time. She examined me and did not tell me the results. I assumed all was well. She shared that a gay man former patient gave her a bad review and solicited my daughter and I to write her a positive review to counteract his bad review. A day after the appointment she asked for my daughter's info because she had misplaced it. She needed her contact info and insurance again. She mentioned a procedure option at our appointment and I forgot the name. I contacted her to get the name and she refused to talk to me insisting I make an appointment to ask her the question. I had to text her that I'm not going to make an appointment so she can charge my insurance just to ask a question about something she already mentioned in our last visit. I feel Dr. Lee broke her patient confidentiality with her former patient because I didn't need to know anything about his interaction with her. I found his review and he mentions not feeling safe in her care and he's right. She made me aware of their conversation, that he was gay and wanted a positive review to negate his. I find this a lack of integrity.

I became Dr Namhi Lee’s patient about a year ago. She opened my eyes to health issues I had that I was not aware of. The results of my first blood test had my A1C at 6.8. Three months later my A1C reading dropped to 5.6 as I followed Dr. Lee’s advice about making changes to my diet & taking some meds. I like her approach of getting to the root/cause of the problem rather than masking with meds only. I will continue to see Dr Lee & appreciate her professionalism always.

Such a amazing doctor, knowlegdable and on point.
I was having a acid reflux problem and her Diagnosis and treatment help me in days I was back to normal.

I had to leave Dr. Nahmi Lee’s office mid-way through our first appointment and immediately cried outside the building. We were never loud or rude when speaking with each other (rather, we both acknowledged each other’s underlying kindness before I left), but it was clear that, as a gay man, I was not safe or respected under her care.

Dr. Lee’s bible was open on her desk in front of her through the entire interaction in the examination room. One of the final things she said to me, as I was putting on my coat and holding back tears, was that I was bigoted for not accepting her religious views or believing in science that didn’t tell me what I want to hear.

Dr. Lee’s understanding of science, her role as a medical professional and her levels of compassion are proudly and indignantly influenced by her religious bias. As a matter of health and safety, I do not recommend her to other LGBTQ+ people - or anyone.

I am writing this review as a medical professional. I came initially only due to the availability, but returned multiple times for Dr. Lee`s professional advice and treatment. Dr. Lee had an integrative approach going a step beyond traditional Western medicine, an approach that can only come with experience. She is very perceptive and personal, creating an easier connection. I would highly recommend her for any patient asking for an advice in seeking a primary care specialist.

De. Lee has helped me open my eyes to the severity of my health. She has greatly helped me get better and change major parts of my life that were breaking down my body. I honestly can’t thank her enough.
