Nathan's Soup And Salad reviews
10 Honestly a bit underwhelmed, but still going for four stars, a low 4, maybe high 3. This was personally my first visit to Nathan's, which has been on my list for a while as a Rochester tradition, with the friendly slogan, "Comfort in a cup. " According to their website:
"Nathan’s Soup and Salad has been serving homestyle soups, salads and breads to Rochesterians since 1980. "
I went with my uncle as soon as they opened at 11am. We both ordered large "Smoked Chicken and Sweet Corn Chowder" and got two breads, one garlic and cheese, the other cheddar cheese. Fast and easy service. The soup was good, but not as great as I was expecting. The smoke tasted a bit artificial and there wasn't as much corn as I would've liked from a corn chowder, but the flavor was overall fine. The breads were also good, especially after dipped in the hot soup. Would be excellent if the bread was briefly warmed in an oven as it was a bit tough and cold. Would return, but would try another, more recommended flavor of soup.
Having started in the city on Park Ave, they now only have two locations, both in Henrietta. Here at the Genesee Regional Market and one store at RIT, neither in the city which is a bit disappointing.
Every time I go my order is wrong and takes multiple times to get right. If they get your order right the food is great, but that’s IF. For some reason plain sandwiches are very hard to make. I have created WAY too much food waste by ordering from them and wasted way too much money ordering food and then going home to eat it for it to be wrong and me needing to throw it out due to allergies
Best food on R. I. T but if you're thinking about spending real money instead of dining dollars, i recommend going off campus.
Delicious, filling soup. I really enjoyed the flavor.croissant was mediocre: not crispy like I expected but it went well with the soup so I don't mind.
The soups here are great and the bread it as well. They get you your the food quickly and is always good. Would recommend during the cold days of the year. I always got the chicken noodle and sometimes the broccoli cheese and they were good.
We ate there then they closed the next day. I hope it wasn't something we did. The food was great and its closing is a real loss.
So bad. Order a hot sandwich that is not even hot it was basically frozen on one side. Tasteless chicken. Even they give it for free I wouldn't eat it. So bad!
This shop has by far some of the bests soups I’ve ever had as of the 2020-2021 semesters. I couldn’t recommend them enough.
Wow. This lunch spot has gone way downhill. Lousy made Greek sub. Tasteless chicken tossed in with all of about seven pieces of chopped veggies. $8.50? ! The quality of taste this should cost as much as a gas station premade sub. Simply can’t get quality anywhere anymore, just no place cares
Great food and options! Favorite lunch stop where you can get regular, vegetarian soups and other options to fit most diets! They have half portions too which is always great if you want to try different things!
