Neena Agarwala, MD, New York NY

Dr. Agarwala is kind, compassionate and a wonderful doctor. She takes the time to answer questions and explains everything calmly and reassuringly. Her office manager is also very nice and answers messages promptly. Dr. Agarwala is a specialist so if you have a deductible, there may be charges for additional treatment/testing. But it is so with any specialist, with any deductible. I am very grateful to have found such a specialist, I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

She is a nice lady. However she made me do blood tests that ended up being for older women and my insurance didnt cover. With that said she send me to one of her labs that is out of network and I ended up paying more then 400$ for tests that werent needed. I personally dont suggest her because then you will have invoices coming your way for a lifetime.

Great experience with doctor Neena. Great bedside manner and short wait times. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for someone who wraps every little thing before telling you, keep looking. Honest and direct Dr. Neena values hers and our time but will always answer any issue or question I may have.

Omg, worst doctor office ever!
I tried to book an appointment for a Monday on zocdoc which was never confirmed by the office. 2 days prior the appointment on Saturday I receive out of the blue an email saying that i will be charge a fee if I don't show up on Monday.
Since the appointment was never confirmed and I tried to book a week earlier, I made other plans so I canceled right away by responding to their email (so over 48 hours notice)
Well, they continued with their email harassment because I told them I won't pay their fee for an appointment thAt was never confirmed by their office and still showed pending on zocdoc before I cancelled with a 50 hours notice.
They threatened to send their invoice to collections. I told them to go ahead as I hav et he proof their supposedly appointment was never held and confirmed.
A bunch of scammers and unethical people.
Stay away from that doctor's office!

Rude and ignorant staff. Stay far far far away!

UPDATE:
After fighting a fee I was incorrectly charged since I did in fact cancel 3 times (twice through email and once through zocdoc-all within the 24 hours prior notice policy-I have proof of all of this) I was able to get it removed. However because I didnt take off this review I have been getting blackmailing emails (picture attached). I have been getting threatening phone calls/emails calling for me to delete my "erroneous" review. After I didnt (because I STRONGLY stand by what I said and this issue shows it clearly), they re instated my invoice which had been canceled (their efforts to stop me from telling the truth). I will be reporting this fraudulent company BBB and federal trade commission. Like I previously stated. STAY FAR FAR away!

The worst experience I have ever had visiting a doctor. She was degrading and had terrible bedside manner

The best doctor ever, among all the doctors I have ever seen. Super gentle, kind, and compassionate. I wish all the doctors as good as Dr. Agarwala! The front desk staff is very sweet too.

I’ve been going to dr. Agarwala for a few years now and have always been more than satisfied with her. Great bedside manner and extremely knowledgeable about any issues I’ve come to her with. Never a long wait time and very responsive through the patient portal.

Came for a check up for my cysts and had a pretty bad experience. OBGYN appointments are a very sensitive matter and I don't think that was taken into account at all. I arrived and my appointment lasted 6 minutes maximum. I received a vaginal ultrasound with no warning or explanation of everything. I was on my period and asked to be excused to remove my tampon and Neena told me to do it in the room, while she impatiently waited and went into a rushed evaluation. She then prescribed to me a high hormonal count birth control pill without consulting me or going through risk factors and information about the birth control with me. I have never taken a birth control pill and I'm often weary about taking certain pills without educating myself about them and understanding fully what I'm putting into my body. Her front desk staff is RUDE. I'm talking movie scene rude like I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my life. When I arrived for my follow up appointment I stood next to the counter for about 2 minutes watching the receptionist watch facebook videos. Eventually I said excuse me about 4 times and she finally decided to look my way. She pointed at the sign in sheet and returned to facebook. I asked her if I needed to formally check in and she just rolled her eyes. Disgusting behavior. On top of all this I asked multiple times before my appointment if my insurance would covered all my visits and was told yes. Only to find later a huge bill of near 300 dollars. 300$ for a 6 minute appointment that was rushed and resulted in birth control prescription that I will not take. Where is this bill calculated? What service am I exactly paying for? I eventually went to another OBGYN and found a better solution and my ailments! A terrible place to go. Terrible service and carless practice. Will NEVER go back again

I cannot understand some of the negative reviews here. I’ve found this doctor to be compassionate, efficient and right from the start I’ve found her clear and easy to understand.

I’m not sure why people become doctors and take an oath to help people. But sadly it is crystal clear to me that there are just some doctors that are just plain inhumane and have a disdain for people, these doctors have no empathy, no compassion and no desire to live up to the oath they took.
