Supermarket NetCost Market reviews
22 I was disturbed by how Netcost employees treated my elderly mother. After a simple inquiry they made fun of her, wouldn’t give her the number to the office for complaints. Service needs major improvement and employees need training.
The store opens at 8 am to accommodate senior citizens but some departments don’t open until 9 am. Are seniors 2nd class citizens?
I used to like this store. Recently they are selling spoiled meat and veggies. Never again. No good quality. Mint and yellow squash went bad the next day-garbage. Meat smelled horribly 2 days later-garbage. I don't have money to lose it like this.
I have been a customer here at net cost for the past 2 years. But lately this store has been downgrading, not in the sense of the products in the store but the management. I really enjoy shopping at this store but when I had an issue on Saturday the front end manager did not understand what I was saying so I asked to speak to someone else, that’s when the store manager came down. The store manager was very rude to me. He didn’t even listen to what I had to say and walked away with attitude. Also it gets really really busy on the weekends which is understandable because this store is very popular, but there should be more Registers open on Saturday. This is disrespectful and I am not happy about my experience with the store manager and the service at the registers.
It is a nice store for Russian and prepared food, there is decent variety but they keep changing things around and make them hard to find.
Store looks run down for a reason, did my shopping here, got home. Watermelon is old and mushy, had to throw it away, blintzes with cheese were bad, cheese wasn’t fresh. Threw it away as-well.
Saw a worker put plastic on all home cooked food before closing, assuming they sell it the next day and the day after until all sold. So much for fresh food
Netcost in Brooklyn is definitely different, never bought something thats not fresh and stores look modern and bright.
Not shopping here again!
The best Russian food store on Staten Island. Wide assortment of cheeses, cold cuts, Russian chocolates and milk products. Fresh bread daily (including store-baked). Large produce aisle.
Parking can be a hassle, since it's a busy shopping area. Try getting there close to the opening (9 AM). Alternatively, you can take a train to Oakwood Heights station and walk 10 minutes
If you're looking for a Russian food this is the place to go in the island they have freshly cooked food plus all of the import from Russia
Great store for all european and russian type foods and fishes. Great selection of foreign chocolates.
They have a wonderful selection of prepared food as well as an incredible selection of unusual meats.
My family and I shop here when we're in the area. The food, especially the homemade stuff, is fresh and there's a huge variety. The fruits and veggies are the same quality, beautiful, varied and lovely. I've seen foods here I've honestly never seen before. The workers are as helpful as possible but most speak other languages. Still it's a pretty positive experience each time I go there. Try it!
Tons of prepared food this place is great especially when you're lazy and you don't want to cook.
Some of the fruit had fruit flies packed in the plastic containers. And some of the vegetables had mold on it.
Knowing the Russian culture and Russian food, Don't buy as they say "freshly made food" it is far from fresh. All saled's have a sour taste like they been sitting for weeks. I personally know how each saled is made and how it suppose to taste. Very disappointed.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. FOOD IS SPOILED. BOUGHT A BUNCH OF SALADS AND HAD TO THROW EVERYTHING OUT THE NEXT DAY. I BOUGHT PATE, PICKLED MUSHROOMS, EGGLPLANT SALAD ALL WAS SPOILED AND HAD A HORRIBLE SOUR TASTE. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM.
People seem likeb they hate working there. Prices on fruits and veggies are high. The cooked food section is ok but food is not always fresh.
This place got all the speciality good from Russia. Have a good selection of exotic tea from Sri Lanka. Best place for loose candy from Russia.
It is a Russian store a lot of the items I had no clue what they were and there was no one there to explain them to me so if you don't speak Russian or red Russian it's kind of hard to navigate what they have in the hot and cold food sections
First time shopping here. Place was packed. Long lineups on register. That's a good sign of course. But I needed help looking for Caramel Syrup for ice cream and 2 employees had no idea what I was looking for. I didn't find it at this store.
I don't particularly prefer this Super Market because many of their products are described in Russian anddo not carry English.
Perfect place for those, who is looking for international food. Large choice of Russian and former Soviet republics cousins. Fresh, canned, and cooked products.
