Victoria has provided perfect service for us, which was very important in the difficult times our family is facing. Everything was taken care of in the most efficient manner, the charges were very reasonable, and there were no hidden charges whatsoever.

Since the passing of my grandmother, I thought long and hard if I should write this review. I don't want to slander the services which were provided by the Nevsky Yablokoff funeral home. In fact
Before continuing, I want to make sure my message is clear: the funeral home services are exceptional. The staff are respectful and friendly. The facilities are clean. Everyone at the memorial service understands that this is a difficult time and the family who is burying their loved one can not handle all the details on their own. They made the process seamless and are well worth the service.

The frustration my family and I had came from the Rabbi we had: Rabbi Zarkh.

I believe this is the 2nd time we had Rabbi Zarkh, the first time being around 10 years ago for my uncle. It was a beautiful ceremony and service.

This time, it was distasteful. Overall, it felt more like a lesson in religion and not the sending off for a beautiful soul.

The Rabbi spend plenty of time speaking to my mother the night before to find out what kind of person my grandmother was.

During the services, he:
1. Did not mention her by her name once.
2. Mentioned very little details about her life.
3. Turned the service into what felt like a religious seminar, but ultimately failed to tie it all together.
4. Caused every family member and friend to raise their concerns to us after it was over.
5. Made it difficult to follow along for the simple (but vital steps) such as when to tear the black band which is used for Shiva.
6. Only asked (more like whispered) if anyone had anything to say about my grandmother when they were already taking the coffin away- and even then, walked away so nobody had a chance to.

I can go on and on. This left a very distasteful feeling to what was supposed to be the last time anycof us could have been with her physical self.

I'm sure he meant well, but the message wasn't well received by anyone in the audience that day. It felt like he had pages of notes written for himself but didn't speak about any of them.

Again, I want to thank Nevsky for everything that they have done for us throughout the years. They are a vital part of our community. I hope they speak to the Rabbi so this wouldn't happen again to a different family.

Thank you.

All staff  were very polite, accomodating and caring.   We have many more people than expected came to pay respect, Victoria brought dozen additional chairs, that was nice.

Nevsky Yablokoff Memorial Chapels made everything easy for our family in our time of grief. There are so many logistics to consider and Nevsky Yablokoff quickly understood OUR needs and made recommendations and arrangements accordingly. I can see why my Grandfather chose Nevsky Yablokoff many years ago and pre-paid for all of his wishes/arrangements. What a gift to our entire family. The service was exactly what he wished for and what we wanted. The staff was warm, knowledgable and accommodating. THANK YOU

Maryann and the rest of the team are extremely professional during a very hard time. I've arranged services for two different family members here and they are great and what they do.

Very compassionate, thoughtful staff. Made our experience so much easier than it could've been. This is-unfortunately- our 3rd experience with the company and their support and professionalism made each time that much less traumatic

It is difficult to imagine any aspect of this process described as pleasurable, however, The staff never left our side and made sure we received every possible courtesy. Especially Victoria.

Thank you, Victoria and Marina for you care, patience and professionalism! You did everything right and as easy as possible for us.
People, PLEASE get your rabbi. Rabbi Zarkh assigned to this place is awful. This is everybody's opinion who was at the ceremony. Besides the bad speech, he mispronounced two out of four names.

When my mother passed away unexpectedly, I was so in shock that I couldn’t really process things. That’s when a friend recommended Nevsky Yablokoff Memorial Chapel. I called them right away and Victoria Podokshik explained everything to me, was so sincere and sweet and calmed my nerves making me understand that they will take care of my mother. They arranged a pickup the same day, she arrived with the funeral director Ian, and transported my mother to the chapel. I also explained that I didn’t have a Rabbi to conduct the services and she recommends a fantastic one to ease my pain and time researching for one.
To experience such an unexpected loss, the Rabbi Mark Zarkh provided an amazing service and I couldn't be happier with knowing that my mother was laid to rest after being so wonderfully taken care of by the employees.

In such time of sorrow, to know that there are people and establishment out there to make things right for you and your family, is priceless. I fully recommend Nevsky Yablokoff Memorial Chapel and their team in your time of needs.

When my mother passed away suddenly I was not prepared for a funeral. The staff at Nevsky were very compassionate, helpful and made the whole process easy. I will forever be grateful for them.

After my grandmother past away from covid it was rough. Other funeral homes told us that there are extra charges and some special procedure needed to be done to even have them touch the body, and that costs$700 extra on top of like 5000 $ not including the coffin. With Nevsky Yablokof Alex explained everything clear and precise answered all our questions without any useless info or comment. Trust me at a time like that you want people who are clear and concise. Then the next day we were able to burry her no problem. We are Russian orthodox and seeing as there are Jewish chapels everywhere that overcharge, not this one. The coffin and services we paid for ended up costing like 5-6k including coffin. Funerals are expensive they made it easier and affordable for us. I can’t praise them and Alex enough.
Thank you.

I want to thank staff, particularly Alex Itin and Marianna. When I had loss in my family, Nevsky staff was very helpful. They arranged the entire funeral procession with dignity and professionalism despite challenging situation caused by world pandemics. Again, I want to express my gratitude to Nevsky staff for their excellent service.
