They seemed like an official shop top notch but nope. Took my truck there to get some work done by my insurance and I never heard back from them my insurance company said that they sent in the worng info on the invoice, tired to get in touch with them so they can send the right info and nothing. Horrible shop. I own a fleet company i had a lot work to get done on my trucks.and this shop came highly recommended by a customer of theirs but after that experience never. Took my business across the train track they did everything right the first time. All my 15 trucks I use for my business got body work done and repainted.

Just got back my car after being hit. While they were repairing my car they noticed paint was coming off from a previous repair done by a lesser shop. They settled the whole thing with my insurance company and was able to redo the shoddy work from the last shop. I got my car back and it looks brand new. Thank you for the great experience! Can’t wait to recommend them to my friends and family.

I recently had a terrible experience with this shop.
I experienced a fender bender. It wasn't major but I still decided to get it fixed so I filed the claim with my insurance company.
I took the car to the shop along with the estimate that my insurance gave me for $1437 and left it with Bill who told me they'd need to call an appraiser because the estimate was low (mind you he never even looked at the car)
At first I didn't think much of it and accepted the fact that perhaps the estimate was low so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. What I didn't know is that in his mind, Bill had already made the decision that he'd replace the bumper entirely  (even though it wasn't necessary as the damage was not big enough to need a replacement). I never knew that he considered it low because he planned on replacing the bumper. He never disclosed this.
In any event, throughout all these interactions, I asked Bill and other staff on several occasions for an estimated repair time. But each time he refused with the excuse that it was up to the insurance company. Fine, maybe that was the case but my issue is that for someone who has been in the business for more than 10 years as he claims, he should have been able to give me an estimate of how long it was going to take especially he had already determined he'd be changing the bumper. Had he told me on day one, that he was planning to change the bumper, and that it takes 4 weeks, I would most likely have said 'No Thanks" and walk away, but he continuously kept me in the dark with vague responses.
Ultimately the estimate was revised by the insurance company and paid the shop $10,700 for the work they did which supposedly includes a replacement bumper
I say supposedly because when the car was finally ready, I asked for the paperwork to which Bill responded acting surprised and confused as if I had asked for something out of this world. His response was that I already have the paperwork in the form of the estimate. I kept telling him that what I have was just an estimate, not the paperwork for the work they did. Further, the estimate was for just $1400 yet what he got paid by my insurance company was $10,700 so how on earth is he trying to tell me that I already have the paperwork. When I pressed him, he became annoyed and turned very rude and started yelling at me saying that I don't know what I'm talking about, that he has been in this business for over 10 years and that customers only get the estimate.
I told him that every shop in NYS is required to give an invoice, but he kept yelling angrily saying that I don't know anything. This really irritates me because I'm not making this up.
The NYS DMV site clearly states the following with regards to consumer rights when dealing with repair shops:
"When repairs are completed, the shop must give you a detailed invoice listing each repair done, each part replaced, the cost for each, and the cost of labor. The invoice must show which replacement parts, if any, are used, or not of original quality. It must show the odometer reading at the time you left the vehicle for repair and when the invoice was prepared. If the shop promised a delivery date, that must be listed on the repair order. If you received a written estimate, compare it with the invoice and try to resolve any questions before you pay for the repairs"

So for him to tell me that I already have this in the form of the estimate really doesn't make sense and on top of that to yell at me implying I don't know anything really upsets me. The estimate is exactly that, just an estimate that I can use to compare against the actual costs on the invoice. For him to tell me it's the same thing tells me there's something shady going on. Again, the estimate was for $1,400 yet he ultimately got paid almost $11,000
I honestly have my doubts that he even changed the bumper and that's why he's playing dumb refusing to give me the invoice because the invoice is supposed to list the part number. Otherwise why is he refusing to give me something as basic as an invoice?
Stay away from this shop.

I brought my Acura TLX for repaired at New Hyde Park Auto Body Shop. Staff is very professional and friendly. When I picked up my car, it looked like nothing had ever happened. Bill who took care of my car repair work seemed very knowledgeable, reliable and down to earth. I would definitely reccomend this place for auto body repair work. Thank you Bill for all your help.

I recently had a truly terrible experience with an autobody shop and I feel that it is important to share my story so that others can be aware of the way this shop treats its customers. I had a rare bumper that needed to be replaced and repainted and my insurance company agreed to pay for the work. The body shop charged the insurance company $5144.38 for the job, but what I received in return was completely unacceptable.

Instead of replacing the bumper and repainting it as they had promised, the body shop merely repaired the old bumper and only painted the right side, leaving the left side as it was with scratches and marks. I was beyond upset and couldn't believe that they would treat a customer this way. To make matters worse, they told me: “ you can leave the car and we will repair it but you won’t get any rental”. I have the entire breakdown of repairs estimate which was sent to me by insurance. It’s unbelievable that body shop manager says “it’s a brand new bumper and entirely painted” but when I showed him that it’s an old bumper and only painted one side, it means that customers are being lied to.

It is extremely disappointing when a business fails to live up to its promises, especially when it comes to something as important as fixing a damaged vehicle. The fact that the body shop charged the insurance company for work that was not actually done is completely unethical and shows a lack of respect for their customers. I would not recommend this autobody shop to anyone and I would advise others to be cautious when dealing with them. I would also reach out to State Farm and bring this to their attention. I demand refund because the body shop charged my debt card.

Bad news good news, bad news my Big Black Tahoe was slammed by an MTA bus driver.
Rear drivers side, window, quarter panel.
Good news, I brought my chariot to New Hyde Park Autobody.
From the same day of accident to the pick up I and my Tahoe were treated with the utmost care and professionalism.
Vehicle looked better then when I drove it out of showroom.
If you have the misfortune of an accident and want to avoid stress, New Hyde Park
Autobody should be your go to shop!
