New Nelly's Restaurant II reviews
14Food was as good or better then some other locations but they dont fill the tin like the others. Was like 3/4s filled. Like getting a pint of beer with 2 inches of head. And there probly mostly for take out but there is no atmosphere. But when your there to get the college kids business you dont have to be thst good.
I've never had food hit the spot better than this place. The portions were huge, and the food was great. Highly recommend!
I really like this place. Good food and not too much hazzle.
You get your Dominican fix and then you are on your way. Is definitely a bit on the pricey side for rice and beans but what isn't these days.
My favorite part are the little Dominican touch on how the place is decorated.
The food delicious, but little bit salty for my palate. Only few selections, that's all I want. The price is respectable.
Decent food, a bit overpriced and they charged me $2.60 for a small bottle of water. I’ve never paid that price outside of an airport. Total rip-off.
You want to try these empanadas! Large, light flaky crusts. I wished there was more filling in the chicken one, but the cheese one was overflowing with melted cheese. And the combination mofongo is Delicious! The garlic puree was a wonderful complement to the sweetness of the plantain.
One of those places where you go to the counter and you get your choice of the fresh food. Everything I have ate here has been pretty good. But the empanadas, well the empanadas are stellar! So tasty! Might be the best ones in the area! They were not over fried not greasy and lots of choices.
Delicious Dominican food in upstate NY. The steak with rice and beans was delicious. All the food in the hot case looked amazing will be back to try some different dishes. Staff was super friendly. We enjoyed our lunch.
Nice small place. Food is displayed buffet style. I recommend the potato salad. We ordered white rice & ted beans with stew beef, lunch order. Empanadas, chicken soup, baked chicken with maduros, all tasted good.
The best restaurant, best customer service, good and fresh food, the best in everything, I guarantee it to everyone
They always have an attitude and act defensively, whenever you ask them how much the dishes cost. Every little thing costs extra. No lunch specials, nothing. Why even bother opening a business if they don’t have a pleasant attitude towards customers. Zero smiling. The chicken with rice and beans was salty, and greasy.
Very good food and friendly service,
If you like to eat Creole food, come here and you will leave satisfied,
I have never given a review before, especially a bad one, but I have to write this hoping that the owner reads it and takes note of this instance since I am/was a regular customer here and other locations.
First thing I have to admit food flavor is great which is why I kept returning. Today I asked for the rice with meat combo which usually comes with the beans but this time the guy said it is extra for those, I also ordered a side of pernil which it was charged as if it was a whole other combination platter. When I got home, I realized that literally the guy put 4 little pieces of meat, a little piece of potatoe and the rest was Just rice with glandules, the pork dish was almost non-existent. Total he charged me $25 dollars and I normally won't mind to pay for it if the amount of food were at least fair for the price.
Wonderful. Its not like the food is 5 star gourmet, but it is so tasty and inexpensive that 5 stars are well deserved. The food is pretty salty, especially the chicken soup and the empanadas but if you like salt, you’re going to really love them.
