NRDN is a very special place where we watched our daughter blossom under the care/teaching of Ms. Allison and Ms. Shante. They were both so attentive and caring to all the children. Our daughter adored both of them and created hopefully lifelong friendship bonds with her classmates. I would definitely recommend NRDN to other parents. We feel NRDN definitively prepared our daughter for kindergarten!

Our daughter attended NRDN for over 2 years and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience! From her first day there, she always ran to the door. In fact, she often wishes she could go on weekends too – a testament to how much she loved it there. When I asked her what her favorite things about NRDN were, her eyes lit up with joy as she exclaimed, 'The friends and teachers! ' It warms our hearts that she formed strong bonds with both her peers and the amazing staff at NRDN.

Speaking of the teachers and staff, they truly are exceptional. They go above and beyond to provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. Their dedication is evident in how they interact with the children, offering education and a caring and supportive atmosphere that makes each child feel special.
What stands out most about NRDN is the incredible care they provide. The teachers are not just educators but mentors and role models who take a genuine interest in each child's well-being and development. They are incredibly responsive to our concerns and make us feel like a part of the NRDN family.

We can't express our gratitude enough for the positive impact NRDN has had on our daughter's growth and happiness. We feel truly fortunate to have found such a wonderful 3K and pre-K, and we wholeheartedly recommend NRDN to any parent looking for a nurturing and loving environment for their child.

I was walking outside with my 5-year-old child who has fed the stray cats that have lived there for years when the person who works in the office across the street yelled at us, you can't be here, it's private property, how will the children there treat it? My child was super scared and we were outside staff with no manners and education believe me it is not the right place for your children

My Granddaughter spent the last two and a half years in one of the most loving and caring environments imaginable. The faculty is extremely professional, thorough, and conscientious. Each child is given a wonderful foundation and positive outlook on which to build a better education and life.

I highly recommend sending your child to New Rochelle Day Nursery.

Our daughter spent 2 years at NRDN and recently graduated from their Pre-K program. We are so thankful we made the choice to send her to NRDN. From the start, our daughter always told us how much she loved it there and how much she loved her teachers and her friends from class. In Ms. Allison and Ms. Shante’s class, her social-emotional learning and academic development were nurtured in a way that produced results that we could see at home. They are both truly gifted educators and foster a Pre-K environment that teaches students how to be part of a team, while thriving as individuals. In 3-K, our daughter attended Ms. Twana and Ms. Silvana’s class. She had an amazing time, learned so much, and we were so impressed with what she accomplished. She built such a strong foundation. The admin team that runs the facility, Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Dawn, and Ms. Karin are excellent and it is apparent that they take great care in the service they provide to their students and families.

As our daughter heads to kindergarten, we are more at ease because we know she is prepared. NRDN has had a large hand in that. It is a special place, staffed with wonderful educators and staff.

Hi everyone. I recently just moved to new rochelle and found this job on indeed. I applied and recieved the job offer the same day as my interview with Dawn Carter who is the assistant director to this establishment. My first impression of this establishment was really good and I was so excited to work here but things quickly changed for the worst. The first incident I had was not being able to work on fridays being that I am a college student and I had in person class that day every week. Dawn Carter pulled me into her office and told me how disappointed she was and showed no consideration my needs as an employee. The second incident then happened with Ms. Karen who is the secretary of this establishment. One friday before switching my schedule to not working fridays I was to report to work from 1: 30-6: 00pm. After class when going inside my car I realized my car was not turning on. I called my job immediately and told Ms. Karen my situation and her response was "we really need you here", "you can't have your mom or your friend or boyfriend pick you up" and "see how much is a uber is" with attitude. There was no way of getting there at the time they expected me to be there. Ms. Karen persisted for me to get to work even though of this emergency which cost me so much money. They were being very inconsiderate of this situation. Lastly I was given the news that Ms. Rose was to leave this establishment and I was offered the position of head teacher. Pay was never discussed. Waited days for an update to find out that even with my college credits, having 120 hours of child observation, and lastly working prior to this job at a school as teacher I did not qualify. I found that hard to believe and what really made me super disappointed was that Dawn Carter decided that she would be considered the head teacher and she told me that I will be in the classroom from 8-4pm and she will just peak in and out. Which meant that I would be doing the work as a teachers assistant just under her supervision with no increase in pay.

The environment was super toxic. Everyone including staff were always gossiping.

I worked for the whole month of february and decided that this is no environment for anyone to work in. So I emailed Dawn Carter and sent in my resigation and till this day I never recieved an email back.

WORST JOB EXPERIENCE!

Both my children attended New Rochelle Day nursery. Ms. Allison was an amazing teacher to both my kids. She was kind, patient, loving and taught them so much. We have stayed in contact over the years and she always checks in and congratulates them on their accomplishments over the years. I would highly recommend this school to any parent.

I’ve known Ms Allison since attending over 25 years ago during her first year teaching. She had a wonderful and positive impact on my life. We have a life long friendship and are still in contact to this day. Ms. Allison is a wonderful teacher and mentor and has been since day 1!
