New Settlement Community Center reviews
15The staff is friendly. And its programs keep the kids engaged. There are also programs for adults
I have to speak for myself, my instructor Isabel Céspedes has been truly amazing with my son he is extremely shy. She has made him feel comfortable getting into the water. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better thank you for your hard work.
What a great place, they have so many activities you can do here from dance to swimming. And the staff is all friendly and welcoming. Yet they make sure you sign-in and the keep the doors locked until they buzz each person in.
Big facilaty
Inexpensive options for a wide variety of programs.
Warm indoor swimming pool for members.
I would this place to fix there service. I waited 5 1/2 hours, from 9 to 2: 30 in the afternoon in a line for the swimming registration as members, in the sun, with kids. The line moved very slow and the service was terrible. When I finally was in the front of the line, I had to wait another line to pay, which was another 30 minutes. I would like that this place would change it's service. Every couple months you could re-register your kid because there are up to 5 levels your child can learn. I would like that this place would email the parents if they would like there child continue class, in a result the lines would be shorter. So what I am fully saying is, I would like this place to change the service.
Lost for words, waited outside for 3 hours to register my son for a swimming class tried to do it online only to be told they were down. They don’t even call u or send u a letter stating your membership needs to be renewed. Also need trying to get in contact with the person who’s in charge because my sons program pays then directly and still nothing … it was so hot outside and they told us to be outside at 8: 30 am and the they didn’t start excepting people till 10am I left at 1pm I am furious then they didn’t have paper for my receipt that I paid 280$ for a new membership and a swim class get it together u know the community is desperate to put our children in some classes and you guys aren’t up to part.disappointed ️
When I went here as a teenager they really helped and cared for you awesome group of people!
Excellent organization providing the community with learning opportunities in different areas. They have a large curriculum of courses for kids and adults at affordable prices, among other services to the community.
Reach is a great program, especially for children with physical and mental disabilities. Patient and knowledgeable instructors.
A big and new community center with pool, basket ball court, and many meeting rooms and such.
They can answer any question you have about classes and payments. They also have an excellent senior discount
They have different classes for children and adults. Call to inquire. None of the services are free. You have to be a member. If there is something free. I don't know about it.
Very friendly staff and instructors. I love the Arthritis Exercise and Water Aerobics classes. Very clean facility.
I've been relatively happy with this center until now. I'm onto week 3 of coming back and they have yet to put up any shower curtains in the bathrooms for families and females. I mean with your increase in the annual fee do yall have no $ to buy curtains? Also I've complained several times and was told that they are aware and other parents have voiced concern.yet 3 weeks later here we are. Do better already.
This WAS” a great place for the community. They have programs and activities for adults and kids. Of course the lessons aren’t free. But they did had Free fitness classes from SHAPE UP NYC and we all love them since we could get in shape. Now after COVID they decided that for you to get this free classes you have to become a member and being a member is not free.
So much for helping the community”
