New Vanderbilt Skilled Nursing Facility, Staten Island NY

This place killed my father. The nurses abused him as they do all the patients there. The people giving good information on this place are the people who work here. They are not telling the truth. DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO DIE.

Honestly this place is really nice, the service the stuff the front desk the CNA the RN, are great care loving place for any type of patient, my best friend is so happy after we moved him from clove lake nursing home.

A family member is there and will probably be there for a while, and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with all that interact with him on staff.
The ninth floor nurses are courteous and answer the phones and will answer your questions and the social workers take the time to call and talk with the family and they’re very good to him. When we go to visit him, he is always clean and he happens to like the food. They also have state of the art equipment and came highly highly recommended by two medical facilities as being the best place for him with the condition he went in with.

The staff upon entry was very informative very polite Mr Cooper head respiratory is a great guy very smart well educated well spoken explained everything I needed to know in detail and has a great sense of humor also my mother is in good hands the nurses are very polite my mother

My mother is there for short rehab and the ladies on her floor are such a great help and they treat my mom with respect and I greatly appreciate that.
I would like something to be done about the food that is provided to the patients, it’s really bad and I think whoever is in charge should change the menu because the food is part of the healing process. The facility needs an upgrade but the staff is wonderful and very much appreciated from us, my mom is in good hands.

Very nice facility for my dad. They are very polite and is taking care of my really well. He is on a ventilator and needs dialysis. I would recommend family and friends here. Thanks New Vanderbilt!

Upon entering New Vanderbilt Facility we were greeted with pleasantries. The floor that I visited is the 9th floor. The staffs there were very helpful and pleasant. The floor is well kept and the room where my family member is was very clean and so was my family member.

Excellent place. Staff on the 6th floor are all wonderful, caring. Then we have my two precious Social Workers, great, wonderful people. What else can I say about the 6th floor. They all treat Maria Finocchiaro great.

The facility is courteous, friendly, and helpful. The respiratory therapist went out of his why to explain how the treatment works. The only thing the place can use is to be updated. Otherwise, very happy.

So, as I see & read about all the views, complaining etc.etc
. I'm having my SIL.there for rehab.
GOD HELP THEM. THEY BETTER DO THE THEY GET PAID TO DO! ILL BE THERE & AND ILL BE WATCHING!

2) Admission is fairly easy and checks for Covid
3) staff is friendly
4) Had trouble getting password for free WiFi. “Vanderbiltrehab”
5) place is clean
6) The person I was visiting was not happy about the same repetitive food but saw him gobbling down today

The nurses and aides on my mother's floor are wonderful. They take great care of my mother.

Not one person cared about the patients, not one person came to see what help the patients needed all day, and I don't understand why there are such bad nursing homes.
