New York City Health Department reviews
17I just called the Department to get their correct zip code. In their official correspondence, they provided a return address with zip code 10030. My post office said the zip code was incorrect. I called their offices and asked for the right zip code. The attendant provided zip code 10013 and denied that their correspondence had the wrong zip code, even though I was looking at it. I asked politely to let colleagues about the error and she told me to go f.k myself. This Department should be reorganized and people like her fired.
PLEASE REVISE your documentation. I received an application with instructions to mail in for a DC and the zip code on the paperwork says to send it to 10030, which is an uptown zip code. This is concerning very sensitive information and can even cause identify theft if not handled appropriately. Luckily a postal employee alerted me before we mailed out my envelope (she will be getting an excellent review on the survey). Thanks
No body pick up the phone I have to come down waste few hours for a certificate that can be take care of online
Total waste of time, could never get through to anyone beyond a telephone operator with no information
Went to get a replacement birth certificate for myself, the initial registration and payment at the self-service counter was fast, but when waiting for my ticket to get called was an all day process waited hours! Started see people that came in way later than I did get called before me. Finally went to the counter spoke with a worker there, who found my ticket that was even submitted yet and eventually took me. But not only did I wait all those hours, she denied my copy because my iD was expire, so I had to provide some sort of bill to verify my info, which I had in hand she stamped my copy of my paid receipt and told me it will be coming to me in mail to wait 4-6 weeks. It’s been a year! Still no copy and COVID 19 is making it dam near impossible to get information on where my birth certificate may be or as to why I haven’t received any thing!
Staff and security are doing their job. Service is provided with good reasoning. Overall 5 star service!
Left my wallet there today and the lovely miss ward on the 10th floor was kind enough to call me and keep safe, thanks again I'm very grateful.
This place is so unorganized. Not even their phone number is in order. I could get some high school kids to run this place better. It's a damn shame!
Horrible service. They lost my records and I had to come in person multiple times to assist them in their mistakes
These people are the worst. Been there 4 times to fix a single problem, and each time they find a "single" issue.why can't just scan the docs and give me a list of issues at the first place?
The line was long but I expect it to be an any government building had to step outside for a second they called me I was still outside when I came in I told them and they were nice about it, that's unusual for N. Y employees.
Been there 4 times this yr just to get a birth certificate correction nd still nothing done after waiting on 3 lines for what.
The process is organized not optimal way, I had to stay in 3 lines to get the birth certificate printed and signed spending 2 hours.
But they have nice electronic kiosks to create request so no paperwork is done manually.
And the staff is actually helpful if you have any questions on the next steps.
Worst customer service. I believe monkeys could do the job better than the people who work here.
Really poor telefone service! Called several time during the day over a several day period to check for an appointment, but either the line was busy or nobody picked up the phone, riniging for 2 minutes. Finally, there is no voice mail, in order to leave a message for a call back. This is not the 21st century this department is living in. Poor NYC.
These people are unbelievable! NO HELP AT ALL! Called the "supervisor" two days in a row and no one answered my calls nor called me back to solve my problem. My coworker had the same exact terrible experience. They're getting paid to do nothing.
