New York Marriott Marquis reviews
15 The views of Times Square from the hotel is simply stunning. Located in the heart of Times Square, it’s
a full service Marriott hotel.
Highly recommend it.
They do not tell you room service is not being provided unless you request it (Covid) I didn't have shampoo for 4 days! Obviously room service is not very thorough.
Nice hotel rooms but a little pricey at times. Right in the middle of times which was really why I pick this hotel when I come to nyc. Staff is always nice and the rooms are spotless. Has all the amenities you need if your staying a couple of nights. Will come stay here again.
We loved our stay at the Marriott marquis. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I told them it was my sons 4th birthday and he wanted to go as high as possible so they put us on floor 44! The rooms were clean and you literally cannot find a better view in NYC. The hotel was my kids favorite part of his birthday vacation. They also had a pack n play for the baby to sleep in!
Had an event in one of the ball rooms. Very nice hotel from what I was able to see. Lots of open spaces and nice decor.
Great location in the heart if Times Square. The elevators were rather slow. The room was clean, but the hotel is beginning to show it's age.
Beds are somewhat uncomfortable, but overall the amenities of the Marquis can't be beat. The location is fantastic, giving great access to all of what Times Square has to offer.
The New York hotel that offers normal sized rooms! We spent two nights at the Marriott Marquis and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. If you're a Marriott Gold member, don't forget to check out the Concierge Lounge. Appetizers each evening until 7: 30 and breakfast until 10: 00.
Rooms were ok. Need to do something about the elevators. Should have separate elevators for people with rooms and security checking that people are actually staying there. Far too long of a wait especially on the higher floors!
Beautiful Hotel right near Times Square. Excellent service, and experience. Loved being able to walk out of the bustling Times Square into the quiet, classy hotel environment
Elevators are a mess, completely inefficient and lead to a bottleneck downstairs. Card for breakfast room service went uncollected despite being hung on the door well before the deadline.
Amazing location if you plan on staying close to times square. The rooms are okay but seemed a bit old. The elevators can take a while during busy hours. Plan to check out using the mobile app or over the phone as the lines during check out can be extremely long.
VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MARRIOTT. I don't' usually leave reviews but this incident had really upset me. I had to write one this time. I stayed at Marriott Hotel in Times Square for 3 days past weekend (rate was higher than usual because of ester weekend). The room service and room itself was very good. I was very happy with the hotel. However, we left bag pack with the hotel on the last day.that we contacted lost and found to see if they would send us the item. Ryan at lost and found department said it was no problem that they would send it to us with no charge. On the right next day, someone else from lost and found called and said we have to pay for them. I ended up talking to supervisor, Gerome and he was nice enough to take my concern and to send it to me with free of cost next day. BUT.someone from lost and found called me back and "we do not know who you talk to, we dont have supervisor Gerome" I was very upset. I spent all my time trying to talk to multiple people over three days.and ended up paying for 2-day FEDEX shipping more than $200. They were very rude and not organized. They are not taking responsible with what they said on the phone and different people works different days, they do not follow up with you. I was very disappointed with the service after the stay and how luxury hotel can have this kind of service and being careless with customers who already left the hotel. The after-stay service was very poor. You won't want to go back or recommend to someone.
This is about our 5th time staying here in the last 2 years. Have never had an problem till now. We checked out yesterday and were driving home when we found out that we had left 2 bracelets behind. We were about 30 minutes away so we called the hotel and was transferred to lost and found. We explained what happened and we could not get a single person to just go up to the room and look on the desk where we left them. They took our number and said if anyone returns them they will call us. 5 hours go by no call we call back again now no one will answer in lost and found. Start a chat session from my phone and in the beginning we are getting the run around till lost and found finally call us back. He finally took it upon himself to go upstairs to look and talk to the maid. Nothing was found nor turned in. Hard to believe that they just disappear? Now I know it was our fault that we left them there our bad, What I cannot understand is why no one would go upstairs and just look when we first called? Next time we go to NYC will be looking for a new hotel
My boyfriend had a business trip to NY and was staying in the hotel for a few days. He had to get his flight at 6pm, and asked the guy at the reception if the time he planned to get to the airport was ok and if it would be very busy. The guy it's fine, that's plenty of time, and there was nothing in particular my boyfriend needed to know about. My boyfriend left as he planned, however, a few roads were closed down for putting up Christmas tree, and he turned out to be an hour behind his schedule even though the guy at the reception said it was ok? Are you joking? Roads closing down was not something my boyfriend needed to know about? As if it was not going to affect how long taking a taxi would take? My boyfriend missed his flight and he was very angry. I mean if the person at the reception does not know what the f*** is going on in time square why are you alllowed to stand there? Make sure you provide the right information before you consult any customer. Now my boyfriend needs to get another flight tomorrow and miss two days of work.
