Avoid at all costs. They'll tell you what you want to hear in order to get you to purchase the glasses.
After your purchase, they won't provide a status update unless you call them.
When you call them, their mailbox will always be full.
If you actually get through, they'll pass the phone along to 3 people.
When one of those people finally get your info, they'll tell you your glasses aren't ready and it'll be another week.
A week later, they'll tell you another week.
A week after that, they'll tell you they'll call you with updates.
After you call them because you never received a call back - they'll tell you some more lies about when it'll be ready.

And there you are 37 days after you placed your order and 16 days after they promised you your order - without glasses.

So, to summarize:

UPDATE: Picked up glasses on 39th day from order date - the frames were damaged. I was told it would take 4 days to replace the frames. Went there on the 4th day, I was told next week. Called on the 9th day - no ETA. So now we're at
48 days after order: 1 pair of broken glasses
Excuses and lies: Dozens
Accountability: None

UPDATE: 57 days after ordering the glasses, and 18 days after being given broken frames - I'm told my glasses won't be ready until March 4th. That's 72 days from when I first placed the order.

They refuse to refund me. They refuse to assist me. They keep suggesting I just take another color of frames instead and push me towards things I don't want - because they can't deliver on what they sold me.

FINAL UPDATE: Got a call that my new glasses were ready on Feb 26.65 days after I placed my order. 41 business days after I placed my order. For all my trouble, they offered me additional warranty through their store - as if my initial experience was so great, that I'd want to come back to them in the future. If it wasn't so sad, it'd be laughable. I learned my lesson - and I hope you learn from my experience.

Honeslty if I can give this place a zero star I would I don’t understand how can they have so many workers that are rude and no customers service skills at all, no one acknowledges anyone they make you stand around doctor joke around with their employees in the front. This place is a joke.so much for social distancing everyone on top of each other stay away stay away stay away I repeat stay away

A little cramped inside it but other then that friendly staff, a decent selection of frames if your willing to pay and they take appointments which is what I did. They also allow walk ins but be ready to wait

The worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing anything! I ordered glasses back in November! First I had to wait 2 months for my glasses, even though I was told it’ll take up to 5 weeks. Nobody ever called me with an update. Then my glasses arrived damaged. I wanted to get a refund right away but manager convinced me that the new frame will arrive in a week. Almost 2 months later I still don’t have my frame. I called multiple times and I’m either being put on hold with no one getting back to me or they promise to call and never do. I had to show up at the location in person and they just told me to keep waiting.for an unknown amount of time! Avoid this place.

They will rob you right in front of your EYES! Stay away there all liars saying they using your plan benefits and there not! Scammers is what they are! Save your money and time!

Everyone at NY optical is very helpful and pleasant. Have been coming here for over 12yrs. Mayra is the best, always willing to take her time to make sure I select the best frames to fit my style.

You get quality service through the whole experience. The optician Mayra was very patient and very professional. I've been coming to this eye doctor since I was a child. My experience has always been a good one. It gets busy but that's what happens when you have alot of patients who know that it's a good eye doctor, just have patience. (Its part of life). They are very clean and very helpful. I have nothing negative to say. I have been going there since I was a child and will continue to go as an adult and I also bring my children here as well.
