New York State DMV - College Point reviews
16I came here with an appointment at 12: 00 P. M.on a Thursday afternoon. I have to say most of the reviews of this place are lackluster. The best advice given for this particular location was to make an appointment. If you can read, you can write; this place signifies that. Advice I would give would be to check the DMV website and check what documents and requirements are needed to obtain the identification or licenses you wish to obtain. I was out of here before 12: 30 P. M. Thank you College Point DMV!
Got my I. D.renewal done. And they where very helpful even thought security guard in front is a huge jerk. The inside employees, especially Amber. Made my day. And took away any anxiety I have about going to DMV
Today, Hilary Rogan (blonde security looking lady, ı got the name from the supervisor) disrespected old hispanic guy who was trying to take his test. After disrespected him she turned and talked to lady on the counter and said “dont give him license”. I couldnt believe what I heard. İt is beyond unacceptable. I will also file complaint to make sure they will not be discriminating people like that.
Make an appointment it will save you the trouble. Make sure you check the website for the documents you’re going to need, it’s the DMV y’all they’re not afraid to have you come back. Appointment was at 10: 30am. Showed up at 9: 55am and was immediately led inside. Got my ticket through the kiosk and by 10: 28am I was out of there. They’re as effective as your prep!
You have to pay for parking? You have to know exactly how long you will be in the DMV? They have less appointment availability than midtown Manhattan? Get you stuff together.
The security guards suck! There is no order, they pick whoever they want to come in. I accompanied my family member and was denied entry because they claim only the person who made the appointment can enter. However the SAME GUARD let a FAMILY OF FOUR walk in because they were the same Indian ethnicity. Saw this happen multiple times while waiting outside
Another great visit to DMV with an appointment scheduled. It was extremely easy. Paid for parking through their parking app, easy check-in with the email confirmation. As soon as i checked in i was directed to a window. It was great having Erika assist me today. She was so hopeful throughout my process. Over all max 40 minute visit and accomplished 3 things i needed done. I applaud the new technology and their new methods! And of course, their employees for dealing with the public.
A very bad experience. I originally had an out-of-state driver's license and wanted to change it to a New York driver's license. Because my English was not good, a young black woman at the counter was impatient and had a bad tone. She took me the form that I had not filled out and filled it out. Nothing happened. Asked me, but after finishing the process, I found that it was changed for me.
It's not a real ID, so I have to find the black woman at window 38. I really don't know how this kind of government department can use such a person to work! !
Really rude people at the door. Dont let you even speak, does not hear anyone and close the door in your face. Less than 1 star!
Perfectly pleasant experience, considering it's the DMV. Appointment at 1015am on a monday, showed up at 10am and was out before 11.15am.pay for parking which sucks, just have all your things in order before you go. They text you your counter no too, so no need to watch the screens while you wait
Awful place.must be avoided.got soak in rain at parking lot trying to pay for parking (which used to be free) just to find out at the door that you need an appointment to get it.
The person that helped me was Jose at window 30 I think. There was some paperwork that he had to fax to the main office to complete a transaction.
He went the extra mile and gave me a call about an hour later when it was to confirm it was complete. Was a really nice guy and pleasure to deal with.
I don’t even write reviews.go to the other dmv’s cus the reviews is not lying ab the rude staff
Got in fast did everything easy make appointment on line and make sure have all paper work
The most disgusting people work there, no people skills 0 manner that's what a city employee behave
I think the people at the door of this DMV are the shame of America. There is especially a bearded old man. He is disrespectful, arrogant and simply disgusting. I saw how he treated a sick and disabled person. In one word, scandalous. I was there on September 10.
