If I could not give him any stars are top thieves, if you want to get away from them and cancel your policy they put you excuses and do not resend your application to you that they are given the want, inflate the prices and charge you extra, try to take off your antler the last weight you have, and if you are finished paying they increase the amount so that you are always tied to them do not hire it look BIBERK it's 100000 times better.

One of the worst insurance companies in New York, they will not pay for your medical bills, they don't care. I don't think any of the adjusters know how to do their jobs, they never pay your bill and when they do they send it to a wrong address and then say its no longer their problem when someone else cashes the check! The adjusters will ignore you, never answer the phones and will read your emails but never reply. Can't even contact a supervisor or anyone for that matter. They honestly need to be shut down it blows my mind that they are still open. Honestly deserve negative stars.

Would leave zero stars if I could. They sent me a bill for 75k after I already paid 75k in worker’s compensation. They want 50% of my payroll for workers compensation! An absolute racket. This will probably result in me closing my business. I spoke with my underwriter and he couldn’t care less.

PURE EXTORTION
Sent me a $40,000.00 bill after a $5000.00 premium was paid for the year. This is obviously a made up number and will quite possibly close my business

I have been waiting for two months since my accident at work and every time I try to explain to her that I need some help with this.they just want to pay me disability. $ 153 per week. According to the representative, due to lack of documents, my work and my doctors have already been sent every paperwork they need, and I am still waiting.this service is terrible.

Impossible to get a hold of anyone. Even during COVID-19, someone should be available for issues not addressed on-line.

I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH AN AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I'm writing to express my displeasure, discontent, and frustration that I've built over the past few months trying to resolve payment issues on behalf of my grandfather who's a non-English speaker and lives outside the US. It’s been four months since my grandfather received his last check causing emotional/financial distress. I have been in contact with his case manager, Lance Paige but he soon stopped corresponding. Haven’t heard from him since March! Shortly after it escalated to his supervisor Kurian Medayil who has poorly been handling the situation and clearly shows great lack of interest, concern and sympathy and barely responds to my continuous emails.
I must say my experience has been nothing short of disgusting. So I ask NYSIF, who’s supervising the individuals referenced above and making sure their jobs duties are being fulfilled? ! What’s the point of recorded phone calls for quality assurance? Every single customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and our issues must be promptly addressed and taken care of in a timely manner.
I have recently been in contact with P. Koranka. Although she’s been incredibly helpful, attentive, understanding, and sympathetic and has gone the extra mile, things are still yet to be resolved and there’s only so much she can do.

I’ve had enough of it and just really want this resolved for once and for all! And, if necessary I’ll have no other choice but to get a lawyer involved.

My case manager Jimmy Li never answered any of my emails or phone calls. They only serve the companies best interest and not mine. I am
convinced they are not here to make sure you get paid but to make sure you don’t get paid. They are stealing my money by not releasing it to me. This entire operation is a disgrace.

Incredibly hard to deal with. Everything needs to be posted and paid by cheque. It takes 30 minutes to speak to an actual person if you call and agents are polite but often clueless and 9/10 will say they will call you back. They do not. I've been given various numbers and emails from agents which I've followed up on just to be redirected again or ignored. I've wasted far too much time and money dealing with NYSIF.

The building manager did not pass any test to get he's position it was gave to him by mistake now employees there must suffer.hes having an affair with the mailroom supervisor but no 1 no's now everybody knows that's a convict of interest but the executives on 12 will protect him it's good being black sometime there benefits.

Consistently terrible customer service. This organisation fails to acknowledge the internet was invented over 20 years ago and they are 2 decades behind the times. Persists in using checks and paper mail despite so many better online alternatives. Employees are aggressively disinterested in helping their customers (small businesses).

I broke my back as an Elevator Mechanic in September of 2011 I ended up with 3 ruptured not herniated but completely ruptured discs yet after 5 of my doctors said that the only solution was surgery and then 7 of their supposedly independent doctors said that through their supposedly INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS that the only solution was surgery I was still denied by their Nurse Practisioner. So I had to go to court where the Judge was shocked by the gross mishandling of my case and the incompetence and finally ordered the surgery and said that never in her long career as an administrative law judge has she ever seen such incompetent handling of a case. It's been 6 years now since my injury and I have to have corrective surgery on the fusion that I had in 2014. The cage device that was put in at L4 and L5 slid out on the right side and I have to have corrective surgery but instead of approving the surgery NYSIF decided that they don't want to pay for my pain meds anymore and they actually took me to court to cut off my pain meds. I have X Rays CT scans and MRIs that actually show there's a piece of plastic that's digging into the nerve root and spinal cord at L4 and L5 and I have the actual images from these all printed out and they can see clear as day that there's a big oval shaped plastic chunk sticking out of my spine into the spinal canal and directly pressing against the nerve root for my sciatic nerve causing me excruciating pain and I mean the worst pain in my life and they have decided that they don't want to pay for my pain meds. Without ever seeing a doctor they just send a select group of edited and redacted reports from my pain management Doctor to an Anestesiologist who wrote an IME report stating that I should no longer be on pain meds and they sent a copy of the report to my pain management Doctor with threatening letters saying that my doctor wasn't in compliance with the regulations concerned pain meds and filed for action from the WCB and when I went to Court the judge was flabbergasted that they got this report and they were basing their entire action on a report from a doctor that never examined me. So the judge saw my complete medical records and the MRI images and CT scans along with X Rays and reports from my doctors along with an IME from their orthopedic surgeon who actually did examine me and the judge proceeded to reprimand the lawyers for the NYSIF for about 20 minutes and the judge threw out their request to cut off my pain meds and the judge again approved my corrective surgery. It's amazing how the NYSIF has actually started to do pharmacological reviews on people without ever seeing the Doctor who is writing these reviews. The judge also could not believe that they were doing these pharmacological reviews without seeing the patient and they said that they don't need to see the patient because the Doctor only needs to see the meds you are taking and for how long to determine that you don't need pain medication any longer. It's really unbelievable what I have gone through with the NYSIF and they have fought me every single time on everything. I am so sick and tired of fighting with the NYSIF for every single thing. I am 100% disabled and I have had to fight for every single thing with the NYSIF it's without a doubt the worst insurance company ever

It takes to long to get the money you worked hard for, by the time you see your money your bills are so backed up. Smfh
I feel so disrespected as a state employee. The job is extremely dangerous and when you get hurt on the job, you should not feel like you're are being penalized. NEW YORK STATE we know better so please let's do better. If its the laws and regulation guidelines then our Unions need to pay close attention to these facts. Your State Workers are paying the price for doing their jobs. Sml

WORKER WAS MISSING IN ACTION FOR a month. I was awarded lost of use pay for injury and no one sent my check.they have no regards for the judge that awarded me.they messed up never sent me to IME never appealed my award and than never sent my check thank god for that 20% penalty.may be ne next time they will do their job.and wont get penalized. Workers comp board wS in disbelief.smh. STATE WORKERS DESERVE BETTER.

Workers Compensation NYSIF!
I agree with all of you, and The NYSIF is the most expensive provider of Workers Compensation. They must stop acting like the money is coming out of their pocket! As an employer, trust me their bill is always on time every month! Probably will switch them for another vendor soon, to make sure my employees can rely on me when they need any help.
