New York Surf School, Queens NY

My son attended camp for a week, and we saw improvement immediately. It was because the instructors knew how to simplify surfing due to their own experiences. How to get past mental blocks. How to make incremental improvements. I had one day of camp myself, and felt well taken care of - safety, encouragement, little nudges where needed. By second half of the day I was feeling more confident. Great group of people! We will come back for sure.

The instructors are great, very friendly and teach well. But facilities and set up needs a serious upgrade.

Another great summer at NY Surf School. My kids have been taking lessons with Amanda and are doing great! They love her and she’s an inspiration to them. The owner Frank is great, too! Highly recommend this local business!

Awesome experience surfing with Andrew Ardito. I did a 1-1 private session and he was really patient with me and gave me both the guidance and confidence I needed to successfully catch a bunch of waves! I had only surfed once before in the Hamptons in 2021 (if you can call it that since I didnt actually catch a wave that time) but this time surfing with Andrew at Rockaway I stood up on almost every wave! 10/10 experience.
