4 coaches and non of them are actually coaching. Waste of $. Signed up my son for the cubs program. Paid for 3 semesters and unless you get coach Dan, this is what happens.

I see a lot of negative reviews and I really don’t get it. This place is pretty solid overall. It’s not that expensive to go (I bring my kids) and rent skates too. My only critique would be them closing off parts of the full rink to do private sessions during the public skate. It just makes it a little more packed and harder to maneuver, but it’s not the end of the world. The food stand is decent enough and the rink is in good shape.

The rental skates weren’t sharp, i went to go get a different pair and the guy said that they all weren’t sharp, apparently, they only sharpened their skates once a year which is outrageous and dangerous.their public session was good other then that, if you are going to skate here, you are better off bringing your own skates.

I like going to Newbridge Arena for the open skate sessions. I dont skate much but when I go its a good time. I usually rent skates and they dont have my size so I have to go with the size smaller. Its very uncomfortable so I dont go as often as I'd like. The kids have a great time on the ice so I usually just let them do the skating.

Pro shop has the "Skate Whisperer
Christine is the amazing! Only 2 humans alive can be trusted with my skates. There's those whom can cut and those whom pretend.

I haven't been here since the turn of the century, but the memories here is still awesomely fresh in my mind. Like CHEERING on the best coach in the world, ANDY COZZI's & his Green Machine youth hockey teams,

Glad to have something to do. Didn't know they played music 40 minutes of being there someone finally turned it on. Guess they forgot. My daughter enjoyed herself. Ladies rooms was not the cleanest.

Great place to skate. I went on MLK day with the kids. It was great. Big and clean. The entrance fee and skate rental wasn't expensive.

Im dumbfounded! There is no concern for the safety of the community! NONE OF THE STAFF WORE MASKS! Everyone was polite as can be, but there was no social distancing despite the signs posted and no masks enforced. Some of the patrons wore masks of their own volition, but nothing was enforced. People packed onto the benches to put on skates, stood back to chest at the concession stand, and shoulder to shoulder to wash hands in the "Ladies room. " Disappointing. As an RN who worked in an ER through the pandemic, I was disgusted to see the complete lack of concern and/or care for the people of the community. This is why my ER is filling up again. So disappointing.

This is a wonderful and welcoming arena, its like an old school hockey center, old but clean and friendly.

They don't Zamboni the ice halfway through. Also they cut off the two ends of each side of the rink for coaching. While public skating is going on so the coaches are charging at each end of the rink in their shut off for public skate.

I was at Newbridge Rink this afternoon and left early. I can't believe how little they care about the safety of their community. The rink was completely packed. I got there half hour early because I know all other rinks on LI are only allowing 50 capacity. Not this rink. They did temp checks and you had to wear a mask, but that was the extent of there safety precautions. People were crowded together waiting to pay, no distancing in place. All the benches inside were right next to each other. No spacing at all. Multiple people sitting on benches putting on skates. They did nothing to help with social distancing. I couldn't believe the WATER FOUNTAINS WERE OPEN! Kids were drinking from them and putting their mouths on the metal because the water came out very low. I couldn't believe it! The food bar was open and all the tables we lined up in rows. Nothing was spaced out or changed or distanced for more safety. People's tables were back to back so people were eating right behind each other. The food court area was very crowded so people started eating in the general area where people sit to put on skates or rest. They had their masks off talking and eating. Kids were throwing food at at each other. One of the male staff members in a green sweatshirt was behind the food counter eating what looked like cheese fries right where the girl was taking out food and serving it to customers. He was eating and licking his fingers. I told my daughter sorry no churro for you from this place. I made eye contact with him, gave him a dirty look and shook my letting him know how disgusted I was, but he could care less and kept munching away. There's a glass office right outside the doors to enter the actual skating area staffed with people that were older and looked like management.they were close to each other and at times they wore there masks below there chin and talked. Other staff would go in and out, pull the mask down to talk to each other. It's a very small office so not safe to do that either. The walls were mostly glass so they were able to see everything happening in the rink. Staff members walked right past people with there masks off, eating food.they did nothing. The skating area was also packed like the pandemic didn't exist. More benches loaded with people. I stood up against a wall to keep my distance from people. I’m sorry, I hate saying bad things about businesses, but I seriously felt so uncomfortable and unsafe here. I was completely DISGUSTED how little they cared to protect there customers and community. I have been to 2 other rinks on LI and it was a completely different experience. This place could seriously be a super spreader with the way they run it. There's risk everywhere you go but here you actually felt at risk. I have no respect for the people running this rink. I told my daughter I was sorry but we had to leave. She said she didn't mind because it was so crowded she could barely skate anyway. We left halfway through and as we were leaving they were still allowing people to pay and come in. I guess there's no limit to how many people can come in. They have signs and the website makes it seem like they're taking safety measures but that's complete BS. I only posted pics of the general area and skating rink. I wanted to post pics of how unsafe the food court was but, I didn't think it was right to post pics of children WITHOUT masks online.

This could be one of the best facilities on the Island, but the conditions of the rink are pretty awful. The stench in the locker rooms will easily remove your sense of smell upon entry. It is a shame, because the rink is in a really nice landscape setting. One of the few redeeming qualities is the young lady who sharpens skates. She is literally the only person, I will let touch my skates, and one of the only remaining reasons, I enter the building.

If i could give this 0 stars i would. I had a terrible experience here and i am extremely disappointed. This place takes no covid precautions and clearly doesn’t care about anyone’s health or safety. There were a lot more than 50 people on the ice and all the kids were vaping when the sign clearly said no vaping. And no one was wearing there mask, the workers were extremely rude. It was the most disgusting place i have ever been to.you mine aswell travel the world i’m the pandemic and it would be safer than going to this terrible musty place.

This place was absolutely nasty. It was very run down and there was no covid precautions taken seriously. There was many kids not wearing masks Waymore than 50 people on the ice. I decided to go at 8: 30 figuring it would be less crowded but clearly I was wrong it was insanely packed. There was people vaping and smoking even though there was clearly a sign that said not to do so. Workers had an attitude and we’re rude for no reason. Overall seemed like an overpriced waste of money and this place needs to be shut down. The second I got home I showered from head to toe to not feel like a brought home anything. Please don’t waste your time going here. You had to wait outside in a line for 15 minutes than be let in and wait another 10 minutes. The ice was also not great felt like it was moving you. I’m extremely disappointed I had high hopes for this place.

I’m a 13 year old kid that comes here every Friday with all my friends. I give this place $100 every time I come here. I had my mask off for a little while because it got hot and I was around 3 kids. Yea I understand that COVID but I was also going to eat. He threw me out in the cold and it’s freezing I have no ride.
