Nikko Hibachi reviews
16The food was not very good at all. The portion sizes were very small. The sushi was sub-par. The service was very slow. They charge 18% gratuity to each table even though we had a table of 2.
Went there to celebrate my friends bday, they took the cake refrigerated it and came w music and cut the cake. The food was delicious especially the coconut Virginia monitor
Please stay away. I went with my family and I got the WORST food poisoning ever!
I was throwing up all night, I had to go to the hospital because I was so nauseous and helpless. Nothing helped. I had to take off work the next day to get back to feeling like myself. I’ve never experienced food poisoning like that. Very disappointed in this place. Never going back. Staying away as far as possible.
Legit worst customer service ever! I was not even acknowledged, I stood there while another group came in and was seated right away. When we confronted the manager about it, he said if we don’t want a table, we can leave. It’s unfortunate that this is
my first visit with my friends and this is how customers are being treated!
Imagine you're seeking a top notch Asian fusion experience without, uh, needing to exhaust the weekly budget. Imagine, too, you'd prefer diverse and delectable offerings with fresh ingredients, unique sauces, doting servers and a hip and varied atmosphere. (Hey, even newbies gotta be taken by a ginormous Buddha who changes colors, eh?) In short, Nikko's a memorable venue that fosters a mellow chill on top of delectable food and libations. Just kick back, savor the fare and ask, "Why'd no one mention this place? "
I went for the hibachi menu and if you have cardiac issues, I would probably steer clear because the food was just overly salty. It was just too much soy sauce on everything … the fried rice, the vegetables, the chicken, and my steak. What really caught my attention was the slow service. I must’ve sat at the table for about over half an hour before the chef came and started the show. Before that, however, it took 10-15 minutes before a waitress came and took our order, another 10 minutes before we were served our drinks, salads, and soup. I requested for a bowl to put the fried rice in so it would be easier for my little one to eat his food, but by the time they arrived with the bowl, he was almost done eating. I must say though that my company at the hibachi table was entertaining. That’s about the only good thing from this hibachi experience.
I had reservations for 9 o clock I arrived with my party of 4 at 8: 45 and was seated early. I am currently still sitting at the table waiting for a chef to come it is 9: 50. This is ridiculous. The food is amazing I love this place and jimmy is great. However, it is the worst service I’ve ever had in my life at a restaurant.
Family environment, our chef had an amazing attitude, funny, made our lunch a lot better than expected. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to my friends
Terrible service long wait last Sunday after we made reservations.never again.my niece graduation dinner was a disaster. Trying to pack other people at our table when we were a party of 13.disgusted.poor management and greed.thats why I don't do local dining.waited past 30mins and we made RESERVATIONS!
This restaurant is great food is excellent we had multiple times sushi Chinise dish and also hibachi frankly I live at Rego park Queens we have some sushi restaurants by us but Niko hibachi and sushi is special for us I will sincerely refer any one to go there and tried that is all I can say.
Great experience and food for my little sister’s graduation dinner. The wait was a bit long and very minimal filet mignon was given: (…nonetheless the chefs were very entertaining
The food is good, however the portions sizes are very small. I went out with my boyfriend for some reason his portion size was small compared to the rest of the table. When we told the manager they refuse to give us what we’re paying for it. If strangers noticed the difference on his plate and informed the manager I think you should obviously listen to the customer. So I do not recommend. Sorry.
The food was good and the staff were friendly. They checked in with you often. Parking sucked!
Improvements:
1. They can do a better job cleaning the Hibachi tables.
2. Get containers with cover to move the food items from the kitchen to the Hibachi tables. It seems as though the chef passes the entrance door from the kitchen to the Hibachi tables.
3. They need to work on distancing the seatings for non families.
The food was delicious, had a wide array of sushi, hibachi entrees and drinks were fantastic. The chef was very entertaining and got the whole party involved while preparing our dinner. It was a wonderful evening, will definitely be back.
BOMB AF.
Picked this place for my boyfriend's early Father's day dinner. He DOES NOT LIKE going out.
We got there and he was excited. Our Hibachi cook was entertaining. The food was so good and seasoned extremely well.
My boyfriend asked me did I want to go again this weekend and we just might go again tonight or tomorrow.
Highly suggest making a reservation if you want the hibachi area.
