If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been in the waiting room for hours and instead of trying to hear what was wrong with me, the triage nurse spoke over me the entire time. I am a type one diabetic who needed to use an emergency glucagon kit on myself because my blood sugars were too low. Now my blood sugars are too high and are unstable. I asked how long until I was seen (to know whether I should try to stabilize my own sugars) and she shows me a list to say I have all of those people ahead of me and they have emergencies too. She then continues gossiping with another employee in the triage and tells me to do whatever I need to do to stabilize my sugars.

I had a kidney transplant at Northshore
3 months ago and I am so thankful for everyone who was involved. Everyone on the surgical team, the doctors, nurses at ICU, and the nurses and PCAs on the 6 Monti ward were absolutely wonderful in caring for me. They were professional, considerate of my pain and well being, and explained thoroughly everything relating to my care. They made the most painful time of my life bearable, I appreciate their hard work and care.

I came to the hospital in an ambulance because I was having a allergic reaction body covered in hives swelling of face lips cheek feeling light headed and nausea. I'm a person who has a long history of severe allergic reaction which lead to multiple damage in my body such as nerve, joint, etc. I have a rare allergic reaction so I have to carry medication with me epipen.etc. I arrived at the hospital they took vital and checked my body then send me to go sit down for 2 hours with my two babies in a chair in the back. The the itching and swelling kept getting worse no doctor or nurse came to check on me. I got up to tell them I'm feeling dizzy and light headed and my body itching more and swelling, the head nurse told me no doctor s are available so I can either wait or leave. She then told me I have a long time to wait before I can get treated. Can someone body tell me if this is normal for a person with severe allergic reaction to wait just because I'm not have shortness of breath she told me I cannot get seen. ‍️ this is unacceptable

My husband Jeff spent the past month at Northshore and is now being transferred to an Acute Rehabilitation Facility. This Thanksgiving season, I am grateful for everyone at Northshore. The hundreds of staff members including doctors, nurses, and support staff in the ICU and on 2 Cohen were amazing to me. I appreciate all of you including PT, OT, and Social Work. I wish I could remember everyone's name to send a personal Thank You. You all allowed me to be an active participant in Jeff's care and the way you helped me learn and understand our new journey deserves an A+. I will always remember the love and compassion you all showed us.

Excellent Staff at Recovery Room, Monti 8, Monti 2, Cohen 3.
LEONILA RAMIREZ, Ostomy Nurse Specialist, stood up as an excellent hands-on educator, compassionate and dedicated health care provider! Thanks to all of you!

My mother just spent 20 days at North Shore, but they finally made her well after countless doctors and another hospital didn't. All of the doctors, nurses, and staff treated us with care and respect.
Special shout out to the nurses and staff on 8 Monti. They were all great, without exception.

They were very clean meticulous and professional with all my pre surgical procedures. The security was on point. Very courteous. Front desk very helpful. Nursing staff very efficient and sharp. Administrative ladies were very quick and nice. Definitely recommend, the place was spotless to the smallest detail on floor walls ceiling, areas that were being worked on were very professionally cordoned off with zip curtain which is premium level in industry.

Arrived at the hospital and was put in an isolation room with 1 other person. Then another 5 arrived after me and they were placed in front of me. When I asked why they were skipping me they said I had to wait. Spent over 5 hours. Do not go there if you have an emergency on a weekend. Nurses are extremely rude and disrespectful.

I was taken to this hospital by ambulance. I was waiting to be seen for hours in the trauma area. After about 5 hours of waiting I left without being seen. They didn't even care.

I came with my son who is a dialysis patient, because he felt very bad with fever, headache and low blood pressure, in his condition we cannot take the chance, we arrived at 10: 00 pm on 4/11/22 and at 5am the next day no doctor saw him.really.a horrible experience.

Wish I could give zero stars. Staff couldn’t care less about you. They tell you to sit in one place then ask you to get up and move and then move you back again for no reason. They call your name once an expect you to run to were they are (if your able to hear them) if you don’t they move on. Unfriendly people all around you, 6 hours in and still sitting in the waiting room. Wish we went somewhere else, not sure how this place can be called an emergency room, slow as molasses.

Hospital is good but Emergency is so bad. I went there then I was waiting outside 6 hours to get room. Suggest to don’t go there Emergency room. If you go there you will die. Because doctors not gone see you 6 hours.

Pediatric emergency room nurses is the worse ones in the world they have no respect they don’t even know how to treat the people. They are not into their jobs.just for business. You go to pm pediatric they are better and nicer plus cheaper. You pay almost 2k and get nothing. 11/10/2022 …2 45am

Great hospital for cancer care. The best leukemia center in Queens and Long Island. They also do bone marrow transplant and CART.

Emergency Room times have worsen
over a 10 year period of time and continues. I'm a patient waiting more than 4 hours to be seen and still haven't been addressed. North Shore, what happened? You use to be such a good hospital. Try Winthrop for an immediate response, don't go here.

No doctors in the building. Faces always changing and have no clue what's going with the patients. You'll have to wait few days for a doctor to show up and check you out then wait few more days to get discharged lol. It's a joke

Not a fan of Northshore hospital. Needs updating. They do have great cuts are services so this is why I gave 3 stars. Without that it would not deserve the review.
