Northern Hemisphere Gymnastics, LLC reviews
12My 5 yr old daughter came from a competitive gym because what she really wanted to do was learn gymnastics and have fun. I immediately knew the right place to take her. As soon as she walked into the doors she gasped and said this is awesome! Coach Paul and Sue are wonderful instructors who embrace the essence of the kids. Every week there is always a new and exciting exercise to try.
Our family has been at Northern Hemisphere since 2014. The coaches are wonderful, the curriculum is age appropriate, and the facility is remarkable. I've always been impressed with the way staff offers kiddos in need of extra support a helping hand while challenging those who are ready for more.
I appreciate the way our family is always greeted (thank you, Paul) and for the relationships our children have made with their coaches. Northern Hemisphere is an extension of our family, especially for our middle daughter who just loves gymnastic classes, and we're grateful to be connected with such a kind and encouraging community of people!
We have been coming to NHG for five years and my three girls love it! Lesson day is their favorite day of the week. We started with the classes and never had a coach we didn't like. They are kind, patient, and provide helpful feedback so the kids can improve their skills. We now do private lessons and my kids have learned so much! For my family, every experience has been a good one.
I highly recommend Northern Hemisphere Gymnastics, LLC. When my 2-year-old son first started, he was shy and was very reluctant to participate in the activities. Coaches Paul and Julie were absolutely wonderful with him. They offer balanced instruction with freedom to play, which fosters a great place for social growth and confidence. He was never forced to participate in warm ups or activities. Coaches Paul and Julie allowed my son to warm up to them and to learn the routine of how they run their classes. They are patient, compassionate, encouraging, and always made my son and me feel welcome and included, regardless of how much or little my son participated in the class. This program is working wonders for him. My son has shown so much progress that he will occasionally start the next activity before finishing the current one because he knows the routine. We both really enjoy the parent-child class and look forward to it each week. If it weren't for Coaches Paul and Julie's approach, I would have quit a long time ago.
I signed my 5 year old daughter up for gymnastic at this place. Walking into the facility was I very impressed, the facility itself is fantastic. While I was there a ninja warrior class with kids around her age was going on. The "coach" was some middle aged impatient creep in a tank top that should not be around children. I legit saw him shove a 5 year old boy because the kid was walking behind him in a line and the coach stopped and the kid accidentally walked into him! I mean chill out "Rambo" these are young kids whose parents most likely signed them up for social interaction, you're not coaching future Olympians in a Webster ninja warrior class. I hardly watched my daughter because I could not stop watching this grown man being impatient and aggressively inappropriate with young children.
After asking a fellow parent, it turns out this guy is coach Paul and is the owner! Needless to say, I immediately withdrew my daughter. Reading other reviews, it appears this is a common - one mentions he shook a 4 year old, another says he pulled some girls hair - I mean how is this place still open? !?
Anyways, if you want your kids to learn low self esteem and be berated by some angry old man, then this is the place for you. If not I suggest you looks elsewhere
So far we have no concerns. The little one enjoys class and the coaches have all seemed friendly and knowledgeable.
I have seen some of the negative reviews and have never seen a coach physically discipline a child. NOT saying it did not happen!
As always be smart, stay around during class and watch your child!
We love Northern Hemisphere! My daughter (4) and son (2) have both taken classes there & really enjoy it! There are so many fun things to do there. My daughter has grown a ton in skills since she started there & my son in confidence! We just had my daughter's birthday party there & were very happy with the experience.
I can't say enough great things about Northern Hemisphere! Our daughter loves going here and is in at least twice a week. She has been going for over two years and is still excited every time she goes in. They are so friendly, the environment is so fun, and they have built a place where kids can thrive in their confidence. I'm a huge fan. Highly recommend!
I have had 3 girls participate in classes at Northern Hemisphere - all at different ages/levels. We have experienced the Parent/Child, Preschool, 5-7 Girls and Ninja Warrior classes. The best part of this facility is that each class plan is different, but structured the same. The coach led activities at the beginning of class and then at the end, change each time. The activities are thoughtful and purposeful.always furthering a child's physical development. Students are exposed to many different gymnastics equipment and movements. My girls are not going to be gymnasts - but they are moving their bodies to gain strength and coordination. Confidence is also fostered when they finally can do something on their own! But most importantly, they have a BLAST! They all love going, beg me to sign them up again, and get so excited when it is a gymnastics day!
We have attended gymnastics classes here for over a year now. My kids are learning more than gymnastics skills. They are learning patience, sequencing, & attention to detail. A huge plus is that we are able to watch our kids the entire time. Coach Paul & Coach Julie are wonderful. Will continue to come here.
Love the place, the kid really like the ANW classes and the coaches are excellent with kids. Been in other places for karate and other activities, this is the best so far in terms of convenience, cost and customer service. Kudos to Coach Paul and all the staff.
Place is decent, however, my reason for 2 stars is that they won't let your kid make-up a class.
Halloween night, my son missed that class cuz he was doing what most kids wanna do.trick or treating. They said he couldn't make it up. I figured I'd just eat that one.
Then I had covid and could not bring him, for obvious reasons. I asked them about a make-up. Literally was told that he couldn't. I asked if we could just have it tacked onto the next session, or pro-rated off the next session's price. Nope.
Cool, so basically I paid for a service and didn't receive 100% what I paid for. Nice business model
Fwiw, the coaches seemed great and were enthusiastic.
The owner should prob sell his tesla and put the $ into a few updates.just sayin.
