Nostrand Dental Care reviews
8Please pretty good I’ve been with them for 20 years sometime he could be a little grouchy but he’s pretty good
I came to him to do a filling and he told me I needed to Root canal one of the root canal shaking and he told me he can fix it can't do nothing about it and take $1,800 for my insurance And he don't have a nice personality at all
Dentist is very rude and insensitive with patients. The rest of the staff is nice and professional. The doctor himself just needs to retire because he clearly doesn’t enjoy his job or the people around him.
Today's experience was good, not a long wait. Due to covid, I like the set up of the office, with the little space they have, they spaced out the sitting area, you not sitting close to anyone. The only thing I think since it's cold outdoors, they could have provided a little heat. Overall my visit was a little better than before.
My 2 year old son was seen here yesterday for the first time and he was afraid. He was crying and instead of the lady comforting him she thought it would be a good idea to tell him “stop acting like a girl only girls cry are you a girl”. I couldn’t believe this is how a professional was behaving. THEY ARE NOT KID FRIENDLY. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!
This was the grossest dentist’s office I have ever been to, and I don’t say this lightly. The tools used on my teeth were pulled out of a plastic container that was caked with excessive amounts of white residue, and put directly back in the box when they were done. I was given nothing to cover my clothes while my cavity was filled, and when I got up there was residue all over my pants. When I asked the dentist what was on my pants, I was told that it would wash off in a tone that suggested that I sounded like a princess even asking. The dentist had a strong odor of cigarette smoke which made we want to gag throughout the procedure. I remember crying as he worked on my teeth and wondering if it was better just to stick it out or find some way to leave. The only reason I stayed was because he had already begun drilling and I didn’t know what the consequences of leaving would be. The fact that I was crying was never acknowledged.
After all of that, I developed a cavity behind the filling and need to have more work done on the same tooth (at a different, clean dental office). I cannot emphasize enough how unsanitary and inefficient this place is. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Save yourself the trouble of having the work done in a filthy space just to have it redone all over again.
I couldn't stress this enough, Do NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! He made me wait for over 30 minutes while he took a meeting with a friend! His breath smells like smoke, so you have to endure a painful cigarette smell while he checks out your teeth! He also let me walk out his office STILL in pain! He was a jerk, unprofessional and that $50 exam fee will be a waste of money for you! RUN!
For being right after the holidays and under a timely situation, this practice was super awesome! They were very polite and understanding. The Dentist is a really knowledgeable, and fantastic dude! It was incredibly quick and painless. Very Happy! Although my dentist is away for a couple weeks, I would highly recommend this office for you, and your dental work!
