Recent park visit was a complete letdown. It's a shame that the charm of young, helpful, American teens working summer jobs seems to have been replaced by an experience reminiscent of the SoupNazi from Seinfeld. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was made utterly unenjoyable.

We tried to pay $8 to drive down by the water and quickly see what was down by the water, but the booth attendant shut us down, stating that parking was full, so we could not drive down by the hill. He insisted we park at the top and walk down, probably a mile on an incline. I have a knee injury, so walking that wasn't an option. I tried to explain again that I only wanted to drive around and see what was by the water since we had never been there before. Despite offering to pay the $8 parking fee, and NOT park, he refused or could not understand our request. He then called down to his boss on his walkie talkie to say "hi boss, is there any parking? No? Okay. Sorry, there is no parking, you can't drive down. " He just kept repeating himself rather than listening. I was so frustrated by his lack of comprehension I finally started driving away, to which he shouted, "You can try back in a few minutes! " WHAT!? ! The whole thing was so bizarre!

Rockland County taxpayers pay a significant amount of money to live in the area, and we shouldn't be denied a basic drive-through. I don't think that should even be allowed, it's public park. Usually, a normal interaction would be 'sure, let me just let my boss know you're not trying to park, take a look and come back up. ' Fortunately, there are many parks nearby with better customer service.

Nyack Beach State Park is easily accessible. The parking lot can get filled fast so I would suggest arriving early. Trail is gravel from start point to haverstraw is 5.5 miles. EasyPark but that all depends on your level of fitness the hills are not very long or steep.

One of the co-workers were harassing you on every little thing and the whole time he kept on watching and making you feel uncomfortable

A very beautiful view, definitely if you like to enjoy something quiet this is a good place, you can enjoy it alone or accompanied, and you can take a walk to relax.

Beautiful view and very relaxing! I would give it 5 stars, but the restroom doesn't have any lights! It's pretty scary once dark and impossible to use because it's pitch black.

Beautiful little park with 2 parking lots.
I assume that on a sunny day they fill up quickly, but if you are like me and go places when it's raining or later in the day- it's nice and quiet.
I even got to see a baby deer running around:)

Great place for hiking and especially fishing. If you’re looking for a nice place to bring the family and have a picnic or just relax, this is the place the go. Although you may have to pay $8 per parking depending on the day you go, it is definitely worth the money.

Extremely serine and such gorgeous views. The sound of the water transports your spirit and makes it easy to let go of hectic day-to-day thoughts. The shoreline trail is an easy walk and the breeze off the water with gentle cresting waves right beside you makes it a must do imo. You get a chance to see nature from a different perspective. It's not every day you see the remnants of a tree resemble a pig from just the right angle! At least that's what I see. What do you think? Will definitely go back.

There are bathroom stalls available at the N Broadway parking lot! (Another review said there aren’t any which was misleading for me.) I think you have to pay for parking on weekends but I went on a weekday morning and it was free.

Very nice scenic area to hang out even if you’re not hiking.

We did the Hook Mountain & Nyack Beach trail from AllTrails clockwise which was the perfect length and difficulty for an enjoyable day hike. The elevation was not bad at all and most of the trail is shaded until you reach summit. Stopped for lunch and 360 views at the top. Since it was a weekday, we didn’t see many people during the hike other than a huge group of dogs from @Takeahikewithdogs so that was pretty amazing. Since we went clockwise (teal markers then white), it ended with a nice flat leisurely walk by the water.

Amazing place!
You experience complete unity with nature!
You are glad that people are also walking along with you and all the people are good!

It's a very small park but quite private with a beautiful view of the Hudson. It also has a great gravel path that runs along the Hudson for several miles.
You can't bring your own grills, but they do provide several charcoal grills for public use. Keep in mind that they do seem to have a rather strict carry in carry out policy that most patrons seem to follow.

Beautiful park with outstanding walking path along the Hudson River and at the foot of the Palisades cliffs. Several places to sit and rest, with picnic tables along the way. Distance of your progress is posted every quarter mile so you can monitor your progress, goals, and timing. Dog litter bags and trashcans for same are provided. Trails are smooth, and good for walking or biking, and baby carriage friendly. Some side trails exist for hiking and climbing. The river and cliff views are spectacular.
