Please be advised that when you go there, pack a lunch or go to McDonald's across the street to eat. The worker's are very slow when it comes to taking care of you. Not

People are rude as heck. It seems like if your nice they give you attitude, but let me start raising my voice and putting some bass behind it they’ll listen and that’s a shame. It shouldn’t have to be like that. I shouldn’t have to speak to you with an attitude for you to hear what I’m saying.

I don’t understand that none of these hra buildings answer the phone and this been going on since before the pandemic, they need to be investigated. No way they customer service haven’t been active before the pandemic, it’s a bunch of old people who work there they need to be investigated on why we wait dam near 5hrs for a 10min chat, why no buildings been picking up the phone since before the pandemic im tired of these people they never answer the phone, your worker never call u things can be done over the phone, then when u go there they make u wait on purpose to get aggressive and agitated while they have a policy if u disrespect them or rase your voice u won’t be seen. Hra is the most sneakiest business in nyc grantee if they get investigated they might have over 50 violations and that’s every building it need to change and we need help doing it. Hopefully someone important see this and try to make a change asap

Wish I could give no stars. Everyone has attitudes, don't want to answer your questions, lie about who's a supervisor, give you the wrong phone numbers, don't answer the phone and act like you want to be here (you are getting paid, not me).
I don't wish this on anyone, but they make me this way, fire them and get new staff.

Still the same absolutely nothing has changed about this place. Wish I could have given a half of star.
Update: Still the same nothing has changed drastically.

I was not happy at all. Customer service was horrible. They make you feel like you are just a number. They are rude and make you feel lees than because you ask for help. As far as my requests, it might take a few personal trips, phone calls and request to speak to a supervisor before my services are completed. I can't wait to get a job and get off benefits so I don't have to feel looked down by the unfriendly workers.

Avoid this organization if you can. Apply for NYS programs directly. Multiple people told me I was not eligible for medicaid without even looking up my account. Ends up I had been approved months ago, but no one told me. Finally just had my first doctor visit and now they are trying to cancel it due to “double coverage” with insurance I haven’t had for months.
When I try to contact them, either no one picks up, or again they refuse to look up my account and give me incorrect, vague info. Went here in person and same story. I waited for an hour for them to tell me they only cover medicare recipients. Not true btw.
The incompetence and lack of compassion somehow shocks me every time I have to contact them.

My grandma always told me, "The early bird gets the (worm) ". It has validation for it's resounding time. So to dive in, I went this morning with the intention of obtaining a voucher as well information on seeing if there is a connection between HRA and Housing Connect, in lieu of public assistance. So, as I noticed with the overwhelming Covid-19 and pre-christmas anxiety, surprisingly not packed or even crazy, but what I did come to understand what a sense of organization like never before with HRA, again I was shocked as I'm writing this. But, the alarming part that I found out was a person can obtain a voucher with UI benefits and public assistance, another shocker. Funny enough, that development of information blew my mind, for three years living in the NYC shelter system, I was lied too with information that wasn't even valid. So, you get what you get with intention set forth!

I'm often bewildered with a mindset of what one says, is valid. But, here I realize HRA, is not as bad as I had come think.

Today, HRA changed my life! I added my ticket number just so nobody can say, I wasn't there. Lol!

It does not appear to be an enter-agency operation at work, there leaving clients routed through the lone agencies open to receive walk-end clients from, other than its own clients, without a means to address problems that may be coming from one of its sister locations because the staff of such sister agency works from an isolated location that even the client walk-in agency can't reach. This is causing clients to be unable to retain their benefits.
