NYU College of Dentistry reviews
17If you have an appointment at a certain time you will at least need to wait 30 more minutes until they actually attend you. Every single appointment I go to she ends up hurting my teeth. They would work on 2 people at once. Once, I was getting my x-ray and my orthodontist started working on another Person like it doesn’t make any sense work on me first then the next. I had to wait there 30 or more minutes until she was done with the other person. She rushes and tries to do things quick and messes up. Overall this was a painful and time wasting experience.
Student Doctors and faculty are so friendly and attentive. They make sure that their patients receive the care they need. They are committed to great service!
Great place for more affordable ortho options. Student orthodontists, Faculty supervisors, and Staff are very professional.
All of my experiences with the student dentists have been wonderful. And I love the added bonus of double checked work! Everyone is very nice and kind.
Really great experience. Super professional and very attentive.
Would definitely recommend
1 hour hold time to speak to a representative, and no other contact options.
Edit: Tried calling again, 5 months later. Still terrible - they'll tell you what your estimated time is, but that estimate will go up the longer you're on hold.
Oral Surgery should be more upto date with staff and more doctors few months ago I was in for two weeks pain with a bad migraine due to my wisdom teeth they didn’t want to attend me due to no excuse I was waiting for an apt for 3 months and I had confirm. I arrive late and they said to reschedule once I had call to confirm my appointment in the morning because the doctor needs to leave early so when a patient is in pain there aren’t there to help nor with an appointment either
This place is horrible I'm been waiting for 2 hours right now for emergency walk in and still at this moment waiting añd I'm the first walk in this place has no seats for patients they move really slow this is not the place u want to go horrible just horrible for me and I'm still waiting to be seen 2 hours later do not come here do not bad bad place
The front desk named Josh at the Oral & Maxillofacial, is extremely professional. I had to get teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons, he knows how to talk to people.
I definitely recommend going here, they really changed my viewpoint of dentist. Very professional, such a welcoming environment. I had my reservations at first, because of the mixed reviews but I definitely recommend going here.
Horrible experience! It took 6 months to prep 1 tooth for a crown. I had to make repeated visits for a procedure called threading which I had never experienced before even though I've had a crown before. Yes, she was a student dentist but under the supervision of their so called instructors or senior dentists. It was painful and sadistic! I would never go back there again.
I'm glad I made the choice to come to NYU. The staff were all nice. Upon entering the 3rd floor I was greeted by a female student. Both students attending to me were so calm and attentive, I immediately felt sense of calmness. I am looking forward to future visits and would definitely recommend friends and family.
Worst experience, I can believe there are good people but there are some that are so bad I had a problem with a young lady now I have no teeth because she doesn't want to c me I being waiting for ever for a "new provider " so for now I don't have teeth is not fair.
No one ever answers the phone you don’t ever get a call back when leaving voice mails Nyu has to get it together…. Like what’s going on guys? DO BETTER!
HORRIBLE, THEY ARE ALWAYS LATE AND THEN ACT LIKE ITS NOT A PROBLEM. THEY TREAT AFRICAN AMERICANS LIKE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME TO COME AFTER MY SCHEDULED TIME SO THAT HE WOULD NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO WORK WITH ME. MY NURSE NAME WAS DALIA SHE WAS VERY RUDE AND MADE OFFENSIVE REMARKS TO ME. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE, YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO PRESBYTERIAN.
If I could rate this place a zero I would. Everyone that work here is a lier and I would not trust these people at all with my teeth.
I been going to NYU of College of Dentistry for the last 2 years and they haven't even finished taking my teeth out yet. With this year coming up is gonna be 3 years. They haven't been rude with me. Why are they taking so long to do my procedure and to put in some dentures. I don't know why they are taking so long. My kids are willing to pay a co-payment just for them to finsihed my procedure. I will not recommend the NYUCD if you need teeth right away. Is a nightmare going on vacations and go and see your family with no teeth. OHHH! And there appointments are 3 or 4 months apart.
