NYU Langone Astoria Medical Associates

I’ve been here one time before. Dr. Loona is great it was my first time seeing her. The medical assistant came out to update me on when I would be seen. The receptionist Irene was sweet and scheduled all the appointments I needed after my visit. Had a good experience. I also got referred to see an orthopedic here as well Dr.rathod he was very nice and answered all my questions.

Karina went above and beyond. I'm so happy with her care and her professionalism. She was there for me when I needed it. I'm so pleased to be a member of NYU Langone at Astoria. She took care of all my needs. Thank you very much.

My dad had an appointment at 1: 45pm they didn't pass him till 2: 45pm, the doctor was most likely SLEEPING because when he came he had red eyes and a terrible humor again we waited for for 2 hours taking any patient a worker called Roxana was super racist and rude (we are spanish), we asked for the doctor again at 3pm and they send us to the consultory and around 4 the doctor came mad and still sleepy, we asked him for the medicine and he started to yell at us to make an appointment again we had an appointment since one month prior and we had the mail and everything, he kept yelling and insulting. We told him that he just needed the referral for the medicine and he keep screaming that he only gives it if he wants to and that the appoints are when they want to the doctor name is Stelios Viennas. First and last time we are going to be with him. Also we are going to place a formal complain about it.

I made my appointment with Dr. Viennas a month in advance. I waited for almost an hour and the Dr.never attended me because some other patient was delayed. Too bad that I got my time wasted and not even an apology was offered. It would be nice if this center respect the patient’s time. Doesn’t seem like a NYU service.

Perfect example of a big corporation taking over and ruining the care options in a community. A number of years ago my physician joined this practice - it has been night and day between going from independent practice to NYU. Want to call the office? Too bad goes to a call center in Florida. Sick and want to see the doctor? The online portal offers an appointment in 12-18 days. Forget to make your annual physical appointment a year in advance? Don’t worry they have a date available in 8 months. Meanwhile the online system threatens to discontinue your medication prescriptions because you have not come in recently enough. STAY AWAY!

But thank goodness we don’t have a national healthcare system…would ruin the *corporate profites*
