NYY Steak

NYY Steak has everything you would want in a New York City steakhouse. INCREDIBLE food (the theatre menu was perfection and gave us a great meal and plenty of time to make it to our show!). I am also a big Old Fashioned drinker and it was one of the best I have ever had! (And, I've had a few. LOL)

On top of the incredible food is the TOP NOTCH service. Every need was attended to and the staff was beyond friendly and some of the best I have ever had! I'm not a baseball fan but, being born in the Bronx, the nod to the Yankees is everywhere - including a World Series Trophy that my brothers and dad almost fell over when they saw the picture of us sitting next to it.

Do yourself a favor - if you are in NYC and want a great steak house with amazing atmosphere, food and service - make your reservation today!

Incredible experience! This is a true, 5 star restaurant! The food is so carefully made, perfectly hand crafted. From the delicious bread and ramp infused butter to the outstanding filet, this place is sure to check every box! Misael was such an incredible waiter along with all the other team members. And the live music added just the right ambiance!

The drinks and food are impeccable. I'm not a Yankees fan but I would love to return. Wait staff was great too

I went here for dinner several times.
The restaurant is next to the Hard Rock Hotel which I think they are in partnership.
I really like this restaurant, the design is and the bar are cool and also the atmosphere.
The staff is amazing, everyone is friendly, kind and mainly professional.
The food is very good, the fillet is very soft and light. Also the sides are good and tasty.
They always suggested excellent quality/price local wines.
Musicians and jazz bands are playing weekly.
I have just one note, all the musicians they’re calling are great and it would be a good idea to let them play somewhere you can see them from the restaurant because at the moment they are playing next to entrance and sadly they are not visible from the dining area.
Apart form this I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow! Is all I can say. 4 of us got the “pre-theatre menu” and it was absolutely incredible. Best food and dining experience in New York to date! The beef tartare was not to be missed. The steak melted in your mouth and the mash potatoes were something out of this world! Jorge was an exceptional waiter and is a great asset to the business. He went through the menu with us and explained everything in great detail. He made this experience 100x better. Will recommend to everyone visiting NY

The restaurant is not that conspicuous from the street, it’s set within the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel. The ambience was relaxing and soothing. Staff very enthusiastic and friendly but not intrusive. Food was pleasingly presented but tasted better still. It was my bday and I was pleasantly surprised by candled desert. We highly recommend

Arrived to this beautiful NYY Steakhouse inside the Hard Rock Hotel on West 48th St. Fantastic layout with spacious seating, well stocked bar & excellent staff. I was dining with friends & we all had the power lunch for $38 each SERIOUSLY from the presentation of each plate from starter/main/dessert absolutely gorgeous. I had the Kobe tartar then the 5oz steak with asparagus & fries & a dessert which again was absolutely gorgeous. Lunch in NYC for $38 & such high quality food we also got to meet Chef Sasha what a delight to meet her and to experience her talent! WOW!

I literally just left this steakhouse for a birthday dinner. This is going to be a lengthy review because there were a lot of mistakes and neglect during my experience. Let’s start off with the pros: The ambiance is nice. All the staff were very pleasant and seemed happy to service my table. Lastly, the manager did that 25% off the bill which I’ll tell you about in a few. The cons outweighed the pros. When I first came in, I sat by the bar and my guests were entertaining the establishment. The bartender’s manager told the bartender to offer me water to start because I sat there for a few minutes and no one asked me what I’d like to drink. Secondly, I had a party of 4, we all ordered skirt steak, we emphasized we would like it to be “well done”. Well the steak comes out medium rare and super salty. We sent the steaks back to the kitchen and they finally made it well done but this time with even more salt. We had to drink so much water, the salt overpowered the flavor of the steak. The mash potatoes and asparagus were good but again overloaded with salt. The table bread was delicious but again they slapped so much butter on the top, it made it so salty. Finally the birthday desert comes and it’s like 17 different chocolates on this little cake and super sweet. Again the food and desert wasn’t bad at all. The presentation was wonderful as well. But the chef is salt and sugar happy and my guests felt the same. If he can learn to balance that and allow the natural flavors of the food come to life, this steakhouse review would of have been totally different.

Had an amazing lunch at NYY Steak, I'm so glad they re-open this establishment in Midtown again. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside and is definitely nicer than the last location from a decor perspective. The steak tartare was probably the best I have ever had, and the filet was excellent as well. I didn't get any pictures of the meal but take my word for it the food was outstanding! We will definitely be returning.

The sea food “triple play”was pretty good, could have been more better
We also order A5 Kobe tartar - way too salty
Porterhouse and creamy spinach - way to salty
We didn’t finished the meal
I didn’t expect to have this experience on this type of restaurant, I told the waiter about it and all he said was sorry and will tell the chef.
Sorry NY Yankees but I won’t be coming back
prices are bit to high up for food that don’t taste like quality should be.

This was the best dining experience I've had in New York, hands down.

The food was incredible. Typical steak house staples were elevated with unique flavor combinations and incredible cooking techniques. The steaks was incredible, but the apps may have stolen the show. The bone marrow and beef tartare are not to be missed.

The service here really pushed our meal over the edge. The manager Jonathon checked in on us throughout our meal and told us stories about particular ingredients, dishes, and preparation techniques that really brought the meal to life. The more theatrical presentations, like the table-side Cesar salad, were truly memorable.

I look forward to going back!

A true dining EXPERIENCE

So this January my husband and my brother and his wife all stayed at the Hard Rock NYC. One night we decided to try the steakhouse that was on the ground floor right by the entrance. Now I am not a baseball fan but my husband is and he was excited to visit a “Yankee themed” steakhouse. I was expecting more of a sports bar but to my surprise it was anything but that. Although there was pictures of the players on the walls, and various other memorabilia, the decor was tasteful and elegant. We had an early reservation so the place was not busy at all so the manager, Johnathan I think it was, moved us from one of the round booths to a larger table that was spacious for our party.
When my husband and I go out to dinner back home I usually am the one that orders for the table. When I opened the menu I saw the most diverse and intriguing menu options that I have ever seen. Although I’ve had most of the items on the menu before I can honestly say that I’ve never had them prepared in the manner that they were. The octopus was “tandoori spiced” and included papadam, something I’ve only seen in Indian restaurants and the presentation was exemplary. The lamb chops were “Turkish spiced” and were the best that I’ve ever tasted. The bone marrow was roasted to perfection and extremely flavorful… and that was just the appetizers!
We chose to order the A5 Japanese Wagyu and it was life changing!
In fact, the entire experience at NYY Steak was the highlight of our trip and I highly recommend putting it into anyone’s itinerary when visiting New York City.
We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went Friday night for an early valentine day date night. Everything was incredible from the ambiance to the service and decadent food. Everything was coursed out in a timely manor, and we were promptly attended to for every course and drink selection we had throughout our meal. Would definitely come back and recommend for others.

I had the most wonderful time. My 6 friends and I decided to stop by for restaurant week, and it was the literal best meal I’ve ever had in my life. The service was stellar, and special shout-out to Jonathan for making our evening next level incredible. My highest recommendation!

Amazing atmosphere and food. I was taken away by oysters, and carrots as a side to the steak. Very detail oriented chef.
