Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex reviews
25NYC Parks department did this facility right! Beautiful track, nice new gym. The exterior and interior are perfectly done. This is a great place for kids and adults alike. It is a great asset to the neighborhood and will be amazing for years to come. Keep up the great work NYC Parks!
If you build it.
You may be surprised when you first get to the complex, I was and am reminded with every visit.
Its got (from what I'm told), a state of the art running track, equipment for pole vaulting, shot put, and more.
They have a free running program where kids can join a team and get professional coaching. Well designed and directly across from a boardwalk and Midland Beach, SI, they opened this great facility just a few years ago and competitors come from schools all over the East Coast and beyond for track meets. They also have a nice gym although the weight room itself is a bit small which seems odd considering the enormity of the place. They also run a variety of kids and adults programs via the Parks Dept.
Great venue, only issue is the seats are going to rough on your back if you are going to be seating for awhile.
This is a spacious, clean facility that houses indoor track and field events. Plenty of parking is available, but costs $20. Event entrance is in the rear, but limited street-side parking is available if your willing to walk 15-20 minutes.
Beautiful facility and a clean environment. Not as exciting as the Armory though, I'd say. The music cut off after the meet had been going for like 2 hours. That's what happens when you play Justin Beiber.
