Every year it gets worse and worse. You would think they would improve. My son's bus is late every day. The first day of school the bus came at 9am when my son has to be in school at 8. I don't understand the point of this department. They resolve nothing.

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is an absolute disaster. There’s zero accountability. Every year they botch our special needs kids pickup and drop off. You give specific instructions on your paperwork, then they do something completely different. You call and wait thirty minutes+ before you can finally get through to someone. You talk to a representative who assures you that everything is squared away, only to find out that your kid is stranded at school. On top of keeping copies of all paperwork, we now record every conversation with these people. But it doesn’t matter bc once again there’s no accountability.

My son goes to a District 75 and I rely on the bus to make sure my son gets to and from school safely. The first day of school September 6th, 2019 went horribly wrong. I work a part time job and my sister (his aunt) was waiting for my son to take him off the school bus. 4 o'clock, 4: 30,5: 00 no sign of my son. I called several times hitting several dead ends until I finally got through to someone regarding the whereabouts of my child (literally raising my voice demanding they contact the driver). So they explain to me that their are 30 kids on the bus so basically a representative told me this bus is overloaded and that they are sorry. Cut to chase that son didn't reach home to me until 7: 35 p.m after spending 4 1/2 hours on the bus instead of an 1 1/2. I filed a complaint and they told me that I can contact someone named Julie who is in charge of District 16, left 3 messages and contact information still have not heard back. Shame on you Office of Pupil Transportation for not responding or taking action to protect my special needs autistic child.

We as parents have to advocate for our children. And honestly writing on their review board won’t make a difference if they don’t care. We need to call the news and protest. Maybe then they will listen. My daughter goes to school near our home about 15 minutes away. And she gets home after 4pm when their dismissal is 2: 30. They dropping off the kids that live furthest away from the school first as apples to those that live closer. Makes no sense

The truth is OPT really do not have control over when buses arrive or the time they leave. The vendor is the one the parents should complain to because they might have more control of their drivers than the OPT. And to be honest if the OPT wasn't open than who do you call to complain too sometimes for hours in end? Not the mayor of NYC.

I had a problem that was resolved during a several days. May be I was lucky but I communicated with representatives of OPT which were polite and kind.

They don’t answer the phone! As you wait to speak to a customer service rep, the wait time increases instead of going down. They don’t even bother to return the call after they tell you to leave a message!

For the last four years I am giving my phone number. For an unknown reason of incompetence, they never update correct contact information.

They had no idea where the fax was I sent for changes and on top of that wait time keeps increasing. I also did the call back service and they never called back. This is another Deblasio joke and waste of tax payer $. They dont even deserve 1 star.

The Office Of Pupil Trans.should be professional & helpful to parents but all of my experiences trying to get help for my special needs childs bus have been anything but professional & helpful! My sons bus hasnt come many of mornings- causing major stress & problems. My son is missing school, which is NOT OK & opt should do right by me & my son & CHANGE my son's! Bus but theyre making it difficult & aiding in my son missing out on his education and putting me in a terrible situation. There are many people that need jobs in nyc & they should consider hiring people that are more passionate about their job & help parents & their children the proper way!

The staff is rude and you can never get through
They put as many kids and schools on to one bus as possible I’m so disgusted

If it had a choice to put no stars I would, they don't deserve and star rating. It's getting worse and worse everyday. They add kids up to 15 on a little bus where the kids can't fit the bus have a para and a matron where the matron don't have a seat to sit. The children reach to school very late one kid not supposed to be on the Bus with more than 9 kids but it has 15 kids Plus a para and matron that's 17 on the Bus does that sound fair. No one is doing anything about it not opt or the bus company. Complaint has been made and no one seems to care

Try to call the office of Pupil Transportation because my son bus is 1.5 hours late. I waited for 30 minutes go disconnect, call again they say wait time 20 minutes! This is horrible, when I worried about my Autistic son bus being later for almost 2hours!
