Old School Bar & Grill, Utica NY

Service here was amazing, and the food was even better! Will definitely be back to try the chicken riggies another time. If you like flavor and feeling satisfied after a meal, this is your place.

For first-timers here or those who can't decide what to order, the chicken riggies with greens are to die for! I would normally buy these for dinner and sometimes I would have the steak sandwich for lunch. Those are my usual!

Food was ok. Greens were not good at all. No flavor or heat to them. Waitress was great and love the atmosphere. Not a place I will frequent though.

Went for lunch. Food was very good quick friendly service. Would highly recommend stopping here

My salad was wilted.
Sent it back, received another wilted salad.

They were soupy.and not a lot of rigatoni pasta in the dish. Tiny tidbits of chicken
I was disappointed and disasatified.

If you like COLD, RAW food this is the place to dine. Manager could care less about your food that was served cold and raw. Spent $550 dollars on four times there. So this place would not comp the meal. Really sad.

Been there several times and have never really been impressed. Went there once and they had an acoustic guitar player who’s speaker was so loud it was painful and he got mad when our server asked him to turn the volume down other times the riggies were literally boiling when they came out. This past time was the last time. Service is always good but 2 chicken meals and one burger were drastically undercooked to the point where the burger looked raw on the inside. They took it off the bill which we appreciated but this place has gone down hill. It’s not all bad and it definitely doesn’t warrant a one star review or anything but there are better options.

One of my favorite local bars. My type of crowd friendly and fun to talk to same as the staff. I love their bar the whole thing is covered in pennies which adds something that make my beer taste just a little colder and better. The food is perfect for that setting and crowd. Burgers wings quesadillas etc. Good place to spend a Friday night with your coworkers after the work week is done. I love their steak sandwich it’s as good as any other place in Utica great with greens. The food is a bit on the pricey side But overall a good experience

This was my first visit to Old School. I sat outside with a large group of people. The setting was fantastic; open and airy but close enough to be connected with those around you. The service was great. No one waited an excessive amount of time despite the size of our group. The food was spot on: the homemade chips perfection and the steak sandwich generous, cooked beautifully, and with amazing toppings.

Really poor service even though it wasn’t very busy. Waited 5 minutes before anyone greeted us. Food was mediocre at best and quite expensive for the quality. Food also took incredibly long for a very basic order (fried chicken sandwich). Wait staff were friendly, hence the two stars but other than that I don’t have anything else good to say about this place. Much better options in Utica so definitely won’t be coming back.

Crab cakes were really good. The New England clam chowder was delicious, but was not hot enough... Should be heated to 180°

After a full day of skiing at the Mighty Gore Mtn…I was REALLY hungry and looking forward to a good meal… Stopped in to the Old Skool Bar & Grille enroute home, ordered a Cobb Salad and a beverage! This Cobb Salad was PERFECT and HUGE (as Billy Fuccillo would have said)!
Every meal that I have ever had here has been delicious and Portions are very generous!
Oh, and the garlic bread and my “beverage” wasn't bad either!

Nice local bar with food! Cool place to settle down watch a game have a beer/drink and snack, or even a dinner! Local is the way to go! One less star for: I would like the help to be a little more attentive. (In a perfect world)

Ten bucks for a draft beer is steep. I'd expect prices like that at a sporting event, not at a sports bar.

Will never ever step foot inside of this establishment nor recommend any one i know to eat here. 11/17 my 2 girlfriends and i along with our 2 children decided we would take a break from life and sit down and enjoy a meal and catch up and the final result is THIS, for a grand total and tip we paid 217$ the chicken riggies where cold when we received them the waitress then took them back and slightly warmed them as soon as my girlfriend went to taste she started to pull a piece if hair from her fork, not being the color of any of our hair, AS THE WAITRESS WAS WALKING TO THE TABLE SHE SEEN THE WHOLE THING. SHE DIDNT OFFER NEW FOOD.next the chicken wings that where ordered left a foul taste in my other friends mouth she never touched them again.i ordered a meal to go way to soon, a steak sandwich with greens onions and hot peppers.the bottom of packaged container was filled with something moist ruining the bread to the sandwich, the steak was said to be well done and was bleeding.now you may ask why didn't we make a stink, that was simply do to the waitress, she looked worn to the ground all while being pregnant, she seemed very clueless although she did her best.overall it was a horrible experience.i have been throwing up since i pulled into my driveway.i am not sure what is going on in that kitchen or what needs to be going on but this wasn't it at all.

Lunch stop on our way to Niagara Falls. Tina, our waitress, was fantastic! Food was great especially the homemade chips. We talked about those for 3 days. On our way back home to MA there was no question that was going to be our stop for lunch. Needed. More. Homemade chips!

Friendly service, nice atmosphere, Food was GREAT! I Ordered the meatball platter with pepper and Italian bread.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Fair prices. Great atmosphere. Side note: best riggies and best sweet potato fries I've ever had.

Friendly Atmosphere, Clean Environment, Welcoming Staff. My Wife and I just happened to see this place randomly while driving by, decided to check it out, so glad we did! Get the Nachos with Chicken, such a massive plate! Definitely 5 stars from me!
