Olio e Piú reviews
16This place is amazing! Def make a reservation. My friend and I shared the carbonara and Bolognese and they were so light and decadent. Gabriel was our server and he was the nicest and so helpful and attendant. Give the man a raise.
Amazing place, great service, ambience, and most importantly, fantastic food. Special shoutout to Susanna because she is the best waitress!
I thought a lot about writing this review because I usually don’t write any especially negative ones but I felt the need to address certain things on my visit that I had today. I walked in and I was sat down by a server which didn’t end up being my server. I had no glasses or silverware on my table and I waited about 15 min to be handed a menu to only wait on another waiter who wasn’t attentive at all. He was on a rush to leave and even told us that he was rushing to leave. He never asked if I wanted tap or sparkling all he did was bring a bottle and dropped it off in the table he didn’t even bother to pour our cups. I never even got handed the complimentary bread with olives like everyone around me did. I made my order to him. Got handed our appetizer and waited about 30 min for our pasta. Me and my son saw how the food of other people around us who came after we did were handed to them instead of ours because our server probably forgot to put our order in. At that point I was just very bothered at the whole situation. I’ve never been treated like this at any restaurant. It was honestly a bummer. Since our “initial” server left we were handed to a different server who was more attentive but it was just all too late. For the price it just wasn’t worth the whole experience. Very unpleasant
This was the perfect place to bring a friend that was visiting NYC. Atmosphere and food was a vibe. Our server Suzanna was absolutely phenomenal. She was so kind and understanding about our food allergies. Will return!
I got the Pizza Carmagnola, which cost me $26. Overall, including tip, a dinner for three was $100. The pizza was alright, certainly not bad but not the best either. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice as well. However, service seemed to be spread thin as getting water refills took a while. It's not a bad restaurant by any means, but it is overpriced. C'est la vie in New York.
The food was alright, on the blander side. But there was a cockroach in the restaurant. When we brought it to the waitress’s attention, she was unfazed and squashed it. No apologies. It left us all with a weird feeling for the rest of the meal.
Amazing food and atmosphere, the serving staff was very friendly and attentive. Really busy at dinner time but still made the perfect summer evening!
Im having wonderful time watching pizza, burn in the fire of the stone oven. Drinking my 4th… a bottle of Nero b’Avola, perfectly paired with pizza Diavola… Mmmm thank you Suzana and Olio e Piú
Great food, great ambiance, the outside lively café makes up for a wonderful experience with customers of all ages, many servers, and best of all was being received by the hostess Suzanna who found us a nice table, came by to check on us, genuinely caring that we were having a good time and bid us farewell as in the best restos in Europe! Definitely recommend it whether for a romantic evening, a night on the town or an outing with friends or the family (they have large tables inside).
Never disappointed with the quality of food and service at this beautiful restaurant in the prime of the West Village. Before and throughout the pandemic they have been serving top notch quality meals! I love coming here for a lovely lunch or coming with friends for a night out! Everyone is so kind and friendly who works here, especially Suzana A, she makes sure your food is prepared correctly and has great conversation with every single one of her customers! Adds to a great dining experience. The food is hot and fresh every single time, even when there is a line out the door! Which there might be a wait, but that only means it’s the place to be for amazing Italian food! Highly recommend for any occasion.
My friends and I did the Split escape room and I can say for sure it was an amazing experience. Candy and Katie were the lady’s that were there to help us out and I would like to say how friendly and helpful they were with any questions we had. I 100% recommend checking this place out and ask for Candy and Katie
What a great environment for brunch. The restaurant was packed but somehow I was lucky enough to get a table for 2 as a walk-in.
Even though the servers were super busy, they made sure to check on our table quite of often.
My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The food was tasty and fresh, the restaurant was clean, the staff was knowledgeable but most importantly the service was amazing. Suzanna did a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was great. Our waitress, Savannah, couldn’t have been better! 10/10 would recommend
Food, fantastic. Service, outstanding. Susana was very kind and contributed to the excellence of the experience, definitely will come back to try her recommendations.
I would like to point out that it was our return to this place after about 5 or 6 years. The place is very nicely decorated, almost fully occupied by clients. The service was perfect, very helpful and professional - it deserves the highest rating, BUT …something really bad happened to the kitchen in this restaurant. From what I remember, the pizza in this place was delicious.this time - complete surprise and definitely - NEGATIVE. The pizza dough was poorly seasoned, soggy and soaked, salt or other spices, it was unlikely to be seen - simply not tasty. The whole thing could not be saved even by good and high-quality toppings or even freshly grated Parmesan. Simply - Unfortunately, very expensive and - when it comes to pizza - not tasty diner.
