Olivier Bistro reviews
21The service was great! I came here on Valentine’s Day and the servers were very helpful when we asked about wine pairings. The atmosphere was friendly and romantically set for the special night! Would definitely come back!
Outstanding, very well executed food and great service. The eggs Norwegian were perfectly cooked, solid whites, runny yolk, and the salmon was silky. The croque monsieur bread was fluffy and airy with a great crust. The merguez sandwich was so flavorful. I loved the shoestring fries that came with the sandwich but the potatoes that came with eggs benedict were dry. The profiteroles were disappointing.
This is a small restaurant but don't let the size fool you. There is a nice comfortable bar and the tables are a good size. Service is good. The food is amazing. The dorada is cooked to perfection and no excess oil or butter. The rib eye was tender and well seasoned. The wine sauce, impeccable. Their desserts are the perfect size to end a meal. Love the chocolate molten volcano and the tart tatin. You are fine with any of the desserts offered. It is an amazing spot for any occasion
If you’re looking for a delicious French restaurant experience, Olivier is the place for you! This classic French restaurant serves up delectable plates of steak frite, beef bourguignon that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. The steak frite is cooked to perfection, with a perfectly seared steak and crispy, golden fries. The beef bourguignon is rich and flavorful, with a red wine sauce that is just the right amount of tart and sweet.
The wine selection at Olivier is also top notch, with a great selection of bottles from the Languedoc region. Olivier is is very knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect wine to pair with your meal. The restaurant also offers a delicious brunch menu, with items like omelettes, quiches, and croque madame.
The staff at Olivier is friendly and accommodating, and they make you feel right at home. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two or a casual lunch with friends, Olivier is the perfect spot. With its delicious
Very cute spot in a surprising location. The sandwiches were so tasty and the fries were perfectly crispy.
Quaint, Parisian spot. The food is wonderful, and they have a French twist on their Aperol Spritz. Good for lunch on the weekend and I took a client here for a drink as well. Wonderful service. The ONLY thing to be aware of is they only take cash or American Express.
Great neighborhood spot that’s always delicious and I’ve never had issues getting a table. Love the French feeling surrounds, especially when they throw the windows open in the summer. The hanger steak and duck are always a go to, and salads are delicious. Also love the snails. A favorite on the neighborhood rotation.
Food was whack & they only take am ex or cash- weirdos.they dropped a glass near my girl and when i checked her back and saw broken glass on it, they tried to tell me it wasnt there… weirdos
An impeccable dinner experience, great ambiance and music. Impressive service and pacing to the meal. Highly recommend!
The food here is amazing and a decent price for what you get. Good salad, mussels, desert, martinis. I have no complaints. Only that people in park slope don’t go out enough.
Was working on a film in Park Slope a week ago and we had our lunch break there. Large menu selection. Delicious food. Great service.
Oh man. I don't know if we caught them on a rough
morning or what. I was served two separate glasses of
water that had a dead bug in them. The French toast
was ok but the tartine was awful. Just soggy mush. No
where does it say they are cash or American Express
only. The atm was broken so I ended up walking two
blocks to find one. Atmosphere and service were fine
but everything else was a mess.
The food is amazing The service is terrific the restaurant is clean It's a beautiful dining experience for the family I recommend this restaurant
Our waiter poured water in my cup over my food, so all the water residues on the water can dripped all over my salmon. I moved the plate and I notified him, he just said sorry and went away, forgeting to pour my friend's cup. I still ended up finishing the course cause I was hungry though that definitely made me feel uneasy. While we were sitting, there were a lot of flies (it's an open space) interupting the meal, it gets quite annoying. THEY ONLY TAKE AMERICAN EXPRESS OR CASH but do have an ATM. I had cash on hand but we were baffled when the waiter asked if we need any change at all- I put down a $100 bill for a regular $54 meal with mid service, it would be rude to request a 85% tip.
Tldr: food was ok but the service and the space were uncomfortable. Get cash on hand unless you have American Express.
Restant Français dans Brooklyn où l on y mange très bien et le patron est très accueillant
Delicious. We had the shisito peppers, and the hanger steak, and I had some wine. Perfect portions, delicious steak and frites, and the wine was the perfect pairing. Would 1000% come back for a simple yet proper food.
Cote de beouf was more like a great steak. But that's the point it was a great steak. Cocktails are solid. Can't wait to head back and explore more of the menu.
Authentic bistro experience. Olivier is the sweetest guy. I have been coming here since the day it opened, and want this place to stick around! Shishito peppers are my favorite appetizer. And they make delicious moules-frites!
Love the food her every dish brings quality and incredible taste to ones eating experience at this Establishment
I got dinner here like.a year ago? And asked for 2 oysters only, which the waiter gave me side eye for and then never delivered - I get it but just tell me there's a minimum order lol.the food was also super overpriced and not actually french
