I'd been having issues with my right shoulder meridian and lower right quadrant of my stomach for a very long time. Maggie asked me easy questions about my lifestyle, looked at my tongue, felt both wrists for my pulse, which I believe is related to our internal organs' blood flow, and explained to me that I have stagnant energy within my liver/gallbladder/spleen.
There's no need to worry about pain when the needles go through the skin, it isn't painful at all upon entry. However, you might feel a dull ache within yourself and I highly recommend telling the acupuncturist which pressure points ache most after entry. That way, the acupuncturist can make note of what meridian that point is connected to and what organ it is associated with. Fascinating stuff!
After one session I already felt SO much better. As a side note: something very unique that I experienced while laying on the table with pins in my body was the the intense urge to start laughing. I believe this is my body's reaction to finally having energy flow freely through the correct organs harmoniously. I'd recommend definitely making note of the emotions you feel while laying on the table, as they may be related to your treatment.
Ask as many questions as you can to understand your body and def don't be shy. How else are you supposed to understand your body if you don't ask the acupuncturist questions first?
I will return to Maggie for 4 more sessions. The first session can offer help and relief, however after repeated use of acupuncture, the remedy really starts to set and become rooted within the body.
Can't wait for my upcoming appointments. Honestly, a highlight of my week!

Yuka Hagiwara is wise, skilled, and has a kind and healing presence. Anytime I sustain an injury (I persist in a combat sport in my twilight years), I see this good healer before even thinking about an orthopedist. I know I will feel better even during the treatment and that I will have better function and be on the road to healing afterwards.

Tracey was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and addressed the issue in both a professional and kind manner.

As always, an acupuncture session with Yuka leaves me both peaceful and energized. I have been seeing her for several years now and always fall into a meditative state that leaves me feeling "restored. " She knows exactly where the needles will help me most. Her healing expertise is enhanced by her radiant presence.

Yuka is a miracle worker as an acupuncturist- she’s helped me with pain management and mobility where all top doctors and other treatments have failed. Fantastic place, service, and ambience.

I've been coming here for over a year now and love it. Each and every acupuncturist takes time to understand what you need help with and ensure that your time is comfortable. It's an open room for everyone, so that's something to get used to for some, but they make it very relaxing so you hardly even noticed. They've helped me through multiple back and hip issues. They're affordable prices are great, too.

Excellent service, caring staff. They take insurance, and even when there is no insurance coverage they offer affordable community acupuncture options.
Cupping was amazing. I loved working with Yuka for my foundations visit.
Highly recommended

I've visited Olo several times for different reasons and every acupuncturist that has treated me has been very knowledgeable and competent. The first thing I got treated for was numbness on my arm from my neck to my fingers; after a few treatments the problem went away and hasn't come back (it's been a at least 2 years since). The receptionist are also very polite and helpful in getting appointments scheduled. I love the atmosphere and community healing at Olo as well.

Plus it’s super clean, it smells good AND the prices are affordable!

I was diagnosed by a doctor with De Quervain's Tenosynovitis in both my wrists. Despite being treated by multiple doctors, I had been living in severe pain for 7 months with no improvement. Then, I walked into Olo Acupuncture. I was skeptical about it to be honest. I had never had acupuncture done. But I was ready to try anything to relieve my pain. I began treatment with Jane and after only one session saw a huge improvement. I mean, literally after one session I felt like a new woman! Jane helped me understand that what I had been told by my doctor was actually prohibiting my healing. My doctor wanted to do invasive surgery, but after learning about my body with Jane, I avoided that completely. Every week I worked with Jane I saw small improvements. I was still living with some pain, but gradually I was getting better through acupuncture, massage, and stretches Jane showed me. Now, after six months of treatment, I have finally gone from being "treated" to "maintenance. " I am no longer living in pain every day. I feel like I have my life back! And most excitingly I have learned more about my body. Thank you Jane! I highly recommend her and everyone at Olo. Plus, the front desk staff is amazing, too.:) If you're considering acupuncture, do it!

It's a soothing, comfortable environment with plush accommodations and reasonable prices. Jane Terrana is a true pro-an expert accupuncturist, committed to her craft, deft with the needles and intuitive about people's tolerance.

Olo Acupuncture is a wonderfully serene and welcoming healing space. Everyone is so warm and attentive. Most importantly, Janelle, my acupuncturist, was able to get to the root of pain I had been experiencing in my left temple for over 40 years. Her approach with me was one of patient, encouraging discovery. I found her to be very responsive and knowledgeable about the body's energies and rhythms. I have been pain-free for the last three weeks!

How much do I love working with Tracey Byer at Olo Acupuncture?
Let me count the ways. I have been working with Tracey for almost a year and
I consider myself extremely lucky to have her as my Acupuncturist. As I too am an
Acupuncturist, I can say from a insider’s vantage point just how kind, intelligent and effective she is. My skin is renewed and spoiled every time I come to Olo Acupuncture for my facial sessions. Tracey works with incredible herbal masks and essential oils - always explaining and sharing her highly specialized knowledge with me. So a full body treatment + facial acupuncture + body work to open the neck and joints + oils and herbal masks + micro-current for my fine lines = a total A+ treatment. And she is just an all around lovely human being. Her hands truly hold a space for healing to occur. Thank you Tracey, thank you Olo.
