Onondaga Lake Park, Liverpool NY

Lights on the lake was great. I just wish the cars would go at a steady speed and stop stopping to look at the displays.

Picture the perfect picnic spot but with some creature amenities. A green grass field with a pleasant water source to lose yourself to. Family and friends around enjoy a warm clear skied day with good food, you prepare, kids running free of technology in wide open spaces. Lawn chairs strewn around with access to cam and peaceful fresh air. A two mile plus walking trail and for those with more energy, a path that nearly goes the circumference of the beautiful Onondaga Lake. A day here can rejuvenate anyone's soul to tackle the everyday hassle. Get your family and friends together and have a beautiful, peaceful picnic, you won't regret it.

My favorite park! Great for walking, rollerblading, biking and all things outdoors. The Wegmans playground is awesome, love that it has the soft scape surface instead of woodchips. I love that you can easily walk 5+ miles along the lake and it's dog friendly. Just make sure to not have dogs on the cycling path! The benches are nice along the path as well.

Usually enjoy coming to this park, often very busy on a warm summer day. The geese and bugs can be a little annoying occasionally though, but that's just nature.

Nice place over all, good place if you want to get out walk or run or just be one with nature and great park for kids just alittle over crowded play park wise.

Playing pickleball here is always a great experience. Kudos for Onondaga County for investing in this sport

Love taking the family here, kids can ride the bikes, kids play all day, there’s restrooms just a very relaxing atmosphere and bring your dogs.

I enjoy walking up and down the lakeside by myself or with the dogs. People are generally friendly and the park itself is very clean and feels very safe. It's a bummer to know this is one of the biggest superfund sites in the world, but just don't touch, drink, splash or have any contact with the water or anything that comes from it and you'll be fine.

Very overcrowded most of the time but that is to no fault of the park. Bathrooms are disgusting though.

Been riding around most of the Lake. Did 15.65 miles 2 Mondays ago and 21 miles last Monday. Really nice place to ride a bike.

What a wonderful spot with kind people. Needed a place for a picnic lunch on our journey back to Canada when we were accidentally trapped by construction at the boat club. The kindness we were offered; to use the screen porch. It was wonderful! Meeting the nice gentleman there was the best part of our day. Thank you!

Onondaga Lake Park is a gem in Syracuse. There's activities and areas for all ages and interests. There's a playground for kids. A skatepark. A dog park. Kayaks and bikes can be rented for those without equipment, even unique bike-carts for a different experience. There's docks if you prefer to bring your own boat. Plenty of places to fish (though there are limits on what's safe to consume). The trail almost completely loops the lake, and is completely paved making it an excellent place to bike and skate. Some of the best views of Syracuse can be seen from the West Lake Trail, which is one of the best birdwatching sites in the region, as the lake is an important migratory stop for many different species of birds. No matter what your interest is, it's hard to have a bad day at Onondaga Lake Park.

It's a beautiful park. Lots of tables and benches to sit. Playground is awesome for the children. Many people riding bikes, rollerblading. You Can rent bikes and tandems for 2 or 4 people. Not certain the cost. Didn't check. We went to walk and enjoy a beautiful summer day. Lots of families having picnics.

Nice place to walk around and fish. Not so good on smell of place as it smells like sewage plant

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Great playground, lots of shade, walking/biking lanes, plenty of parking, and of course the lake itself. You can visit the free salt museum, or take a ride on an 8-person bike! They also have great bathrooms. We stopped here on a road trip from Albany to Buffalo and we're so happy we did.
