Oppa Bistro reviews
16Happy hour is back at Oppa Bistro and I can’t wait to come back again soon! I love the Korean fried chicken, soy garlic and spicy are my fav flavors. Got seated outdoors and had the most friendly server who cracked jokes all night, I think his name was Youssef!
Outdoor seating is very nice. They only have 2 people working so service is okay. Food was a solid 3. I ate it but nothing special and I walked across street to eat papaya dog because portions were on smaller side. There is potential but as of now it’s not great
Cool location and Youssef provided fun service. As others said, portions were smaller but the happy hour was fun.
Absolutely delicious Korean tapas. Perfect size for people to share or for when you're hungry but not too hungry. I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice (which I am so sad that I did not get a photo of) and he ordered the shrimp Kimbap (shown in the photo). The South Negroni and The Oppa (also shown in the photos) were amazing The service was also very nice, they checked on us at just the right out of time in between and they were happy, pleasant and didn't make us feel rushed at all. We can't wait to go here again.
Lovely service. Lots of seating options.
Delicious vegetarian pancakes.
Very strong and tasty punch cocktail.
Had kitchen and bar open till very late, unlike most places.
This place has really good food and drinks! This is a Korean tapas place so be aware the portions are on the smaller side! We ordered broccolini, vegetable Mandu, and spicy pork and it was soooo good. The spicy pork was light on the spice but delicious and the broccolini had such flavor! As for drinks, I got The Oppa (a Korean take on the spicy margarita but with gochujang instead of jalapeño and my husband got the Noona. It wasn’t my fave spicy marg but still good, however my husband’s drink was perfect! I also appreciated that they had little private “greenhouses” for guests to eat in outside. It made the evening perfect!
Seated promptly with my party of 6 outdoors as it was the closest/quickest availability. Unfortunately, we sat at the table for 20+ minutes waiting for someone to take our order or even just serve water. We simply left due to the negligence and with the feeling that the bistro was understaffed that night.
Drinks are uninspired and cocktails are questionable, small plates are overpriced, only one server (poor guy) on a busy night, not.desirable.
Food was served in what looked like a catfood tin, but the food itself was pretty good.
P. S.pretty sure it was just what we ordered
Great spot. The vibe is dimly lit, sexy, and would be absolutely perfect for a date night with your boo. They also have outdoor seating which is perfect for dinner/drinks with friends or after work. We only came for drinks but will be back to try the food. I had a soju negroni and my boyfriend had a spicy margarita. Both were delicious! The waitress was amazing. Very attentive, gave great recommendations and took care of us quickly. We'll definitely be back!
Been here several times per-Covid and miss the old decor, chic, nightlife style. It was welcoming and inclusive.
Had a drink at the bar, the Noona - amazing. Will was fantastic. Will come back to try the food!
Been here several times per-Covid and miss the old decor, chic, nightlife style. It was welcoming and inclusive. The new menu is ok but I miss the fries, original fried chicken and pizza. I appreciate the pívot in this new environment but bring back the Old Oppa when the Pandemic is mostly behind us. If anyone knows who owns this I would love to buy.
A for effort, B for execution. I’ve been to this venue several times and they are survivors, pivoting strategy where necessary. I appreciate that. I think they can improve further on menu pricing. The service was top notch. A little more fine tuning and I see this venue going from 4 to 5 stars. For now, they get 5 because I’m rooting for them but tables can change quickly in this competitive landscape.
Went for dinner and they have an awesome outdoor set up! Great food, interesting sake collection, would highly recommend.
