28I was with a friend of mine and it was a 45 minute wait just to drop off equipment. She hates Optimum and is going to Verizon.
After years of complaints about poor service, we decided to switch providers. Suddenly they can give me better service if I switch back? This company preys on the elderly, and will take money for providing next to no service.
Customer service is in reality "Customer No service". If you try to do an online chat they start you off with a bot that has a name so you think you're chatting with a human. After you've wasted 5 or 10 minutes with the bot and get no where, you finally get a human. The human must be on the other side of the earth or another planet because it takes at least a minute to get a response for each message you type! Either that or Optonline is too greedy to spend the money to provide enough technicians, so the techs are dividing their time among multiple customers. If this company didn't have a monopoly they would be out of business. If you can get FIOS in your area, I strongly recommend you save yourself the time and frustration, and skip "Altice One / Optonline"

The worse thing we ever did service is down more than up
It’s all in one soo when there is no dvr there is no Internet.
The appointment is a 12 hour window
And if you with from home and need Internet you will be waiting at least 3 days
We are soo done with this service!
Long lines.bad customer service. I walked in amd then they asked me how I got inside and how I have to step out, sign in and wait to be called. They were not sorry for the inconvenience. They didn't speak in a friendly tone.absolutely horrible
I discontinued my service as of 3/04, returned all the equipment on 3/04, had to deal with waiting outside to be called in, and was billed the WHOLE MONTH of March! That is robbery! I called the retention team and the best I got was about a $30 reduction. I am being overcharged a month's rate for only 4 DAYS of service!
We went to return our cable system. It had become too expensive. The return procedure was very fast and no lines. Give me back my antenna!
I only have one box and yet paying 200 just for a couple of channels and yet I don't even watch most of the time cause I work
Returned all equipment to store, cancelled services and closed account at store due to moving.received bill forwarded with charges for services that were cancelled.called told "had" a credit but was charged for services that were stopped two months prior so now I owe them?
they refused to refund me my money stating "even though you returned all equipment to the store and cancelled services at the store, you should have called and cancel services".
Does that make any sense?

Clean building. I was returning equipment so it was quick. Overall service and customer service is not the best.
Have used cablevision for 20 yrs.ongoing issues with service in the last year, wi-fi goes in and out, phone service drops calls. Have complained numerous times, called on a regular basis, little to no help, just threats that if they can't find anything wrong they will chg us a $80 service fee, customer service since Altice has taken over is far worse then cablevisions cust service. Very relieved to be dropping Optimum.
So great compared to years ago with long lines always. Now in and out no hassles and very pleasant workers
Went to turn in our equipment as we moved. Now have Directv, Optimum has much better customer service.
Expensive inferior cable and internet provider but still best deal in this area as satellite service is a joke and FiOS even is even worse. The customer service representative was pleasant enough though.
Very happy with my internet. No problems, ultra fast. I just use their modem with my own Mesh routers. Seriously, the best internet ive ever had anywhere. Instant. Great technician came and ran a new drop, new outlet, and new ground.
I regret switching from fios to optimum. They say you pay for what you get and boy is that the truth. Fios is more expensive but the service is way better. You get more for your money and the customer service is awesome. I will be canceling optimum and switching back to fios. I wish I could give 0 stars
Very helpful when you get in trouble. I am often in trouble and the staff remains calm, professional and extremely pleasant.
Good service! But watch out they bill you for the whole month even if you cancel early and return equipment early! They stink go with Direct TV.
They aren't too good with helping clients when you ask for help due to the bill always increasing and internet services not reflecting the prices they only decide the one help me once I officially left them but by then it was too late in the offer though wasn't it as good. I wouldn't recommend this as a cable company
Optimum is great however the staff I dealt with have much to be desired she should be working in the back office
