Made a large eyeglass/sunglasses purchase (around $1,300). I asked that a itemized receipt be emailed to me. I never received one. I have emailed twice and have not received a response. I have called and can't reach a person, had to leave a message. Not the best customer service. Kind-of sorry placed my order.

Definitely do not recommend.after being told to sit through an exam while my insurance was run, some random woman that didn’t do anything other than fittings and insurance somehow realized that they don’t take my insurance and she’s never heard of it before.not true, my coverage had actually lapsed and rather than admitting that she had no idea what she was doing, she instead told me everything would be fine and made me pay $194 out of pocket.she never did a fitting or took any pupillary measurements (despite me picking out a pair of frames in the office that day) and when i asked to come back, my appointments were constantly cancelled and everyone was “sorry”. I did end up going to eyecare of cny at 2901 court street and in one sitting (the same day i called and asked to come in) i was fitted, measured, and had my frames and lenses ordered within one hours time.ask for cherish, she’s awesome but don’t bother visiting julien place.

Terrible. They tried to charge me over $150 for what should have been a $40 visit with my insurance co-pay. I ended up getting my lenses elsewhere where they didn't rip me off but they charged me $50 for what should only have been a $15 co-pay. I only scheduled an exam. It's a shame because I actually liked the doctor but I left there feeling like I had been through a three card monte/bait and switch scam. What a rip-off. AVOID!

Dr. Braun is competent and thorough. He has a vast knowledge of eye ailments and knows the right treatment methods to deal with them.

These guys are always great. I was looking into changing contacts and they gave me samples to make sure I was making the right decision.

Based on my experience, good doctors of all kinds are very hard to come by these days. When I moved out to Syracuse for school I didn't really know where to look, but found Original Eyewear online and it's truly the best eye care I have ever had. Haven't experienced long wait times to be called in for my appointment and the staff is wonderful. Dr. Braun is very knowledgeable, kind, attentive. You truly feel like everyone is there to take care of you and you're not just another person to walk through the door.

So I lost my glasses due to an accident. While my prescription expired I figured the doctor would be willing to refill them as it's a pretty simple process to put in a few numbers in a spreadsheet. Instead they refused and the only reason I can guess is because they want more money to tell me that my vision is about the same.

For this reason, the waste of time to get service, and that I may have to get checked face to face in the middle of a pandemic, I will never be patronizing this business again.

I have had Dr. Shelton for a little over a year now and she is by far the best eye doctor I’ve had! She listens and explains what she is seeing, and truly cares about her patients. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an excellent care provider.

Dr. Dave Braun is a class act - kind, gentle, knowledgeable, assured and assuring, with a great bedside manner. His staff is wonderful - responsive, friendly and very much a reflection on Dr. Braun himself. I give this business a A+ rating!

In the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, Dr. Braun and staff went above and beyond to help me. After picking up my glasses, I made the mistake of cracking my new lenses due to use of 90% isopropyl alcohol and they assisted me by sending in the glasses for repair at no cost to me. Best eye care and customer service I have ever received. They truly care about their patients.

Top notch service and the best staff! Very helpful, understanding, and Dr. Braun is great! Can't say enough great things about this place! I have been a patient of his for a long time now and for a great reason! Thank you!

I have had glasses for almost 20 years and I can honestly say that Dr. Braun is the friendliest and most knowledgeable Doctor I have seen. His office is beautiful and has truly embraced new technology and all of the benefits that comes along with it. I would highly recommend this Doctors office!

Do not try to schedule your appointment online. I scheduled an apt at 8, upon arriving I noticed they open at 8: 30.not cool. I like Dr. Baun but the receptionist was not too friendly.
