11Horrible service here. The two woman at the desk should not be working in health care at all. Let a blind man stand there saying he can't see or hear her and she refused to move two feet to the left to help him. Waited a HR past appointment time just for a 5 minutes appointment. This place is the worst
Dr. Alfandre is a Godsend to anyone suffering from sports related injuries. I had a bad accident skiing a week and a half ago and destroyed my leg/knee. Doc was attentive, cautious and concerned with regard to my presentation of pain and injury. He ordered expedited imaging and scheduled me for a second appointment within two days. After listening to my concerns and my highly emotional reaction to my pain level, Doc provided appropriate solutions and options, of which the most practical was surgery to repair the damage. In less than two weeks from the injury, Doc completed surgery and patched me right up! I have a lengthy recovery ahead but know I am now on the right track, with Doctor Alfandre’s support and guidance. I would not see any other doctor for sports medicine or send any member of my family to anyone else. Highly recommend Doc and his team. Thanks again Doc- can’t wait for you to get me back on the slopes! -Christina Calabrese, Niskayuna, N. Y.
The clerical and medical staff were friendly and attentive. The doctor was knowledgeable and kind. Would definitely recommend. Scheduling an appointment was the only frustrating part as it was difficult to get through on the phone to the office that handles appointments. But they called me back in less than an hour and did their best to get me in the same day.
Spent 1 hour in the waiting room. Then my nurse never even introduced her self. She was kinda rude when asking me questions. She was flustered. 2 hours for an appointment? Go to Bone and Joint center they are much better.
It is absolutely not ok to be racist! At an appointment today the receptionist was extremely rude and racist to one of the young men in there. I suggest you fix this broken, inexcusable behavior!
This was a devastating experience for me, seeing a doctor here. He basically told me I didn’t have conditions I had been diagnosed with long ago, and told me he couldn’t help me because I’m too complex of a case. I think really, he was just too lazy for my case. Other doctors are excited to help, but I left here crying and in pain. I highly recommend any other pain doctor
Over booked, and under staffed. Spent most of my time waiting. My doc, nice guy, but couldn't get me out fast enough so he could get to the next patient. I mentioned a problem with my right ankle, which was on the initial information. He said he didn't order an xray of my ankle, and he said he didn't do ankles but he could set me up with one of the other docs who, did, and he didn't even look at it! Won't go back there again.
The care is fine, but they need to work on how they schedule. Everytime I come I am in the waiting room over an hour. There is no reason for this. Schedule fewer visits and respect the patients time.
I had to wait over an hour to get 5 minutes of Dr. Katz's time. Clearly, he overbooks regularly, as I had a long wait the second time as well. I had a meniscus tear, and they took multiple x-rays, assuring me that they checked with my insurance and it wouldn't cost me anything. Well, they lied! I had to get an MRI anyways, as the xrays showed nothing, as expected with a meniscus tear. My GP knew enough not to take xrays, but Dr. Katz is in the business of making money, not health care.
In addition, on my second visit, he recommended surgery without even a mention of trying PT first. Arthroscopic knee surgeries have been found, through extensive research, to be no better than PT alone in treating meniscus tears, and are not recommended by most medical organisations. However, again, Dr. Katz's motives show through - surgery is a money maker. PT isn't.
Bottom line: l cannot recommend this practice to anyone. They will take your money and offer sub-par care.
I have had two knee replacements, which have been very successful. I can not say enough good things about the practice.
Had to see Dr. Katz for a knee issue, I arrived for my appointment to be greeted by two young gentlemen at the front desk with friendly, polite, professional attitudes. I waited less than five minutes to be called by a nurse who was just as friendly and pleasant as she could be. Xrays done immediately and a 2 minute wait for the Doctor. We discussed some options did what we thought was the best choice for me at this time, the nurse fit me for a brace while pleasantly chatting and I was on my way. I was super nervous going there and that feeling went away real quick. Entire staff gets a 2 thumbs up.
