Worst Clinic Ever! I have a swollen knee due to dislocating it Dec. 22nd and I was scheduled for an orthopedics appointment with this terrible doctor Dec. 26th after Christmas but I waited in the lobby for 2 hours. My mom had the right to tell them off! Then on top of that he leaves for vacation a week later knowing he had to talk to my insurance for a peer to peer to approve my MRI appointment that week coming up on a Tuesday Jan. 2nd. Yes my insurance may have denied my MRI appointment but he knew he was left several messages to respond back to my insurance to confirm my appointment! A doctor can give a statement as to why the patient needs this. Never will I go here again. And I am still Not seen. This marks the week of him leaving the office and my mother and I not getting notified about it. We had to Call! Unbelievable. This deserves No Stars!
I have to now go into ER for an MRI! Have to wait all day for that… All Day Now

This place has been an absolute nightmare to work with. I regret not going somewhere else. I called to schedule my initial appointment with a representative from my insurance on the phone so there could be absolutely no question that my insurance was in network. The scheduler told me they were putting notes in the chart to clarify so I wouldn't have issues when I checked in for my appointment. I still had issues. I arrived to my appointment literally in tears from the pain I was in and the receptionist told me they could not accept my insurance. It was all I could do to keep from screaming. I assured her I did my due diligence in ensuring my insurance was in network, that the least she could do was call my insurance to check before turning me away, and that I was in excruciating pain and needed to be seen. She did not call my insurance, but spoke with the billing team and eventually allowed me to have my appointment.

Dr. Morrison was knowledgeable, but over the course of the few months I saw him he put me on 3 different medications. The third one was not working as well as the previous 2, so I called to let him know. He asked me if there had been any change to my activity, which I said no, if anything I had been less active due to the pain. The only difference was the medication. He disregarded that information, decided the medication change could not possibly be the reason my pain had increased, and told me to stick with it another week. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I decided he was no longer my doctor and I would no longer come to this clinic.

I have since moved out of state and am trying to find a new spine doctor as my pain is still nowhere near under control. Today I tried calling Northwell's medical records department to request a copy of my x-ray for my new doctor. The medical records department told me I needed to speak with radiology for images, and transferred me to the radiology department. The radiology department told me they cannot provide x-ray images, that I need to get them from the doctor's office directly, and that the office staff know they shouldn't have transferred me to radiology. I call the doctor's office back and they try to transfer me to radiology again. At this point I'm starting to suspect that no one in this office is willing to do their job. I am instructed to contact a receptionist in the building and request a copy of the image from them.

The receptionist tell me I must physically come and pick up a CD of the images. I tell her that's not possible as I have moved out of state. She gives me no other option. I am baffled that in the year of our lord 2023 they are unable to send me a digital copy of the image. For some reason they can't even fax it to me. She tells me to fill out an authorization for release of information, follow up in 5-7 business days, and MAYBE they will be able to mail me a copy of the record. At this rate it certainly won't get here before my next appointment in 2 weeks. Every step of my journey with Northwell Ortho has been more complicated and difficult than it needed to be. Please join the 21st century with the rest of us.

We've had a very positive experience at this practice, we never had a problem checking in or waited a long time to see the doctors. My son has seen Dr. Goodwillie on more than one occasion and he was professional and patient every time, he took his time during the exam and afterwards talking to him about their favorite soccer team. He's definitely one of my son's favorite doctors. We've also seen Dr. Vierk, he is also very professional and patient and provided wonderful care. I highly recommend both doctors, they gave exceptional care and we never felt rushed during our appointment. The office staff: nurses, PA were great also. Not sure why so many negative reviews for this practice but it was definitely not our experience.
